Hi there! I was wondering if you guys can help me with any tip on a better way to open and close the right and left back panels or "wings" of MP-43? The "wings" lock to tight which makes it hard to open when going from beast to robot, and a living hell to put it together, at least on my figure.

-Beast to robot: I realease dino head from the body like the isntructions show, then I try to open "wings" by pulling in opposite directions. Is there a better way? I saw a video of guy that simply push the spine of the dino down towards the body, is it better?

-Robot to beast: To me this is the worst part, I've found no other way to do it other then, once each side is fully formed into "wing", I just press them together. Can you guys help me?

 

Did you check out Wotafa’s video on YouTube? He usually has very good transformation instructions and so does Emgo. I believe pressing on the spine as you said works best to separate them but have a look at those videos.

 

Yes I did check them, and both of them open the "wings" by pulling to the side, not by pressing down the spine. And wotafa has a transformation video from robot to beast, and it looks super easy to close the "wings". But on mine it is nothing like that

 

So, I enquired about that add on back kit for Megatron at TF Safari and they said they just got a batch in and will be sending them out now. Not even sure mine would be coming if I didn’t specifically ask for it and then reconfirm my address so if anyone else PO’d then go get in touch. Doesn’t look like anymore will be made.

Yeah, really, dreadfully lacklustre and lazy paint apps- genuinely embarrassing and probably the least necessary kit ever but I’ll repaint it and see how I like it then or just display it hanging on the stand with the missile.

Okay, forgive me if this has been asked before, but it's been long enough and I finally have the cash to be able to get this big boy and I don't know how to successfully search for this through 481 pages, BUT---

Has the issue been fixed with the hip joints splitting the waist apart (WITHOUT the upgrade kit)? That's what's been keeping me away from this toy.

There really wasn't much of an issue. It happened to a handful of figures. It wasn't very widespread, but initially it was thought to be worse than it was because most figures have swirly plastic and a line in it that looks like it could be a crack, so it was feared it would happen to a lot more. However, that was actually just how the plastic looks and is completely unrelated to the breaking waists. It was either broken from the start (which was very few) or it was fine.

TfSafari ain’t got jack and even when they claimed the set arrived they just returned it to the supplier and lied about sending a fixed version out the following week.
I’d be very interested to know if a single person on the planet has got ahold of this set.

 

Not sure about for others, but mine cracked just sitting still on the shelf over a couple months. I put a thin amount of superglue in the crack with a toothpick and held it together and it's been totally fine since and no new damage at all.
