Haha, glad to know I'm not alone liking that design. Over the years, the interwebs gave me the impression people disliked that version of Snake Eyes. Obviously, the first and second designs can't be beat, but there's something about the face and colors I dig on that "modern" Snake Eyes.
You're right. While I think it's cool that some Marvel Legends figures are big to represent a large super hero character, they usually go above the 6 inch mark. Snake Eyes is perfect for a 5'10" character.
i'd say the problem is more Hasbro doing random sizes at times, Deadpool and Luke Cage or Thor are not the same size, yet that "1" deadpool is, the rest are of better sizing, there's a few tiny Ironman figs, sometimes Hasbro just Hasbros and people go out of their way to pick the most miscued to use as examples
Was reading some old marvel issues today and an updated silver mirage would be a vehicle I’d be all over. The vintage one isn’t totally amazing, but there’s potential there! On the flip side of some folk wanting classified to be less reimaginings and more straight ARAH (I’m at least 50% in that camp tbh) what are some og figures you’d actively prefer reimagined? For me the obvious one is serpentor - I dig the concept/character but the original look didn’t do much for me. I could see a more high tech’d interpretation looking great, or alternatively a ancient Egyptian/roman/etc take, drawing on the ‘great generals from history’ aspect. Bazooka and tomax and xamot are others I’d like to see, but would prefer some level of reimagining for.
I feel that way about Storm Shadow. At least SE has a commando and ninja look. I ordered Destro from Amazon. Really wish I could've gotten it in at Pulse. Ive managed to switch most of my PO's, there.
Xamot and Tomas are good ones. As leaders of my favorite troopers, the Crimson Guard, I always thought they look lame. They need better uniforms.
Sure, Hasbro is inconsistent. Just saying that people shouldn't be upset over Snake Eyes being a little smaller than some Legends figures.
I had that one as a figure. Since it is Snake-Eyes, there is a good chance Hasbro will make it in 6" scale.
Yeah, they always seemed weirdly unconnected to the cgs, look wise. I vaguely remember some modern era suit or trench coat version, which would suit the cg leadership thing better. Good call! Give me a full on Cthulhu cobra commander out of that idea too please hasbro.
Hoping someone who has Snake Eyes and the new ML Taskmaster can post a comparison shot. Something tells me that Taskmaster is about to join Cobra.
