They keep changing the name and the packaging, but apparently this is the latest iteration:

    https://www.amazon.com/Pledge-11182-Revive-Transparent-Liquid/dp/B000ARPH4C

Reader Tip: Pledge Floor Gloss or Future has new name | FineScale Modeler Magazine

EDIT: And from a link within that second link:

In the March 2004 FineScale Modeler, Matt Swan wrote “The complete Future,” in which he discussed not only the several uses but also the different packaging and various names by which the product labeled Pledge FloorCare Multi-Surface Finish in the U.S. is known worldwide.

Tracking the sometimes elusive brand names has been an ongoing project for him: His modeling website (Swanny’s Models, www.swannysmodels.com) features a periodically updated article on the substance formerly known as Future, and is the source of the following list.

    • Argentina: “GloCot.”
    • Belgium, France: “Klir.”
    • Belgium, Netherlands: What was “Klir” is now being packaged as “Sols Plus” and as “Vloer Plus.” Reportedly the same product, different labeling.
    • Japan, Philippines: “Johnson’s Wipe and Shine.”
    • Netherlands: “Pronto Wax for wooden floors” with a brown cap, or “Parket Plus.”
    • Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia: “Pronto.”
    • Portugal: “Pronto Cera Acrilica.”
    • United Kingdom, New Zealand: “Klear,” “Krystal Klear,” or “Johnson’s One and All” (the “Klear” name disappeared in 2008).
If that clears things up for you, let me muddy the waters again. Seeking a primary source, I sent this list of names to S.C. Johnson for clarification. A company spokesperson wrote back, “The formulas for the products you shared are all different and not identical to the formula for Pledge FloorCare Finish. The formula used to make [PFM] is only offered in the United States and Canada.”

So it seems the only thing that is truly clear is the stuff modelers all over the world continue to use, whatever it’s called. If you are in doubt, test it off the model.

Thank you very much. And to be 100% right, its the floor gloss not the cleaner, right?

That is some confusing shit, and sadly Amazon sellers want to charge me like $13 bucks plus aridiculous shipping for that bottle. Need to find it somewhere else, or if indeed I can find it somewjere locally.

Correct. It's an acrylic topcoat that dries on the floor to provide protection and shine. Like an automotive clearcoat, but water-based and in a bottle.

Basically, anything sold in your country that has those properties, even if it isn't the exact same product as Future/Pledge Floor Gloss/whatever, should work.

Sorry for still being a moron about this, but this product should be the same right?

Great post, you really hit what disappoints me about this figure. The partsforming is just so sloppily executed. I'd be more tolerant of it if was better integrated with the figure, but as you point out even attaching the trunk piece to the back in robot mode doesn't look that great. And yeah, as everyone points out, partsforming isn't a new thing for Transformers, but in Cliffjumper's case it's not an accessory or weapon that partsform. Instead it's more like taking apart a Kre-o figure in order to change modes.

It's all the more disappointing because otherwise this is a quality-looking and quality-constructed figure. I'm hoping the big removable part on ER Arcee turns out better than it did here.

Still my favorite figure of the line so far.

There are pictures of Arcee where it appears you can leave the back of her car on her backpack. It makes it a lot bigger, but no worse than the Thrilling 30 version.

Adding to the discussion regarding if CJ is worth the deluxe price. I compare him to another Deluxe Red Guy with a big accesory, Siege Ironhide.

    20200403_210041.jpg

Both have exactly the same MSRP of $19 but CJ is almost half the size of IH. I can give CJ that he has a more complex and tighter transformation and no hollow spaces like IH, but in the accesory department I believe a bazooka that splits into 5 random parts is not as effiecient and cool as one that flips into a battle hammer.

I say this as a person that really really really enjoys Cliffjumper: I really hope that figures of this size don't become the norm, or that at least the number of "big deluxes" also increases. Sadly I think HasTak has been slowly getting used to this "new normal" of smaller deluxes. I remember getting Studio Series Jazz and thinking he was too tiny. Months later I got the Studio Series Bumblebee 2 pack and thought that TLK BB was too big. So I've brainwashed by HasTak and probably in the future am gonna be fine paying $20 for essentially Legends class figures labeled deluxe.

You guys know this is the same company that's been selling Yodas for the same price as Chewbaccas since the 80's right?

Overall, this is a really nice figure. Very refined. Polished. High quality.

The $20 price tag for this size figure is certainly pushing it. In owning this figure in-hand, it's clear that the manufacturer used all of their resources to make a very high quality figure. So I can't fault them for what they're charging.

The question is, is the market ready for the trade off in price vs scale vs quality? I'm not sure.

For me personally, I'm not satisfied. The $20 pricetag was at the absolute limit I'm willing to pay for a figure of this size and quality level. So in my mind, there is no margin for error when it comes to the build and quality of the figure.

Of the two that I ordered, one had a large missing silver paint blemish on the right side of the chin. The other has a large molding error on the left side of the chin w/missing silver paint. To combine that with the feeling that maybe I paid too much, makes me feel like I got burned.

I’m not buying Cliffjumper until he’s on sale.

I would like a two-pack of Cliffjumpers repaints without their accessories sold at a Voyager class. That would be a fair cost imo.

I got Cliffjumper yesterday (Sat.) and love him. Yes he is small, but I LOVE that bazooka. The ski mode is just a nice nod to the old cartoon. He is a little big compared to the other "mini bots" but I always thought Cliffjumper always thought he was one of the bigger bots. Hell he fired that bazooka at Megatron. $20 bucks is a little steep, but I will pay for him, Bumblebee and Hubcap (if they make him) as long as they are spread out a little bit :D

Can I ask for help? I love this figure, but I cannot get the backpack/hatch area to sit flush in car mode. I can get it close - and then I watch video reviews and it looks like no one has any problem getting it to sit flush. I've been through 2 copies, so I figure it must be me.

Does anyone else have this issue? Thank you!

I think this is a good way to get around budget constraints when designing the mini bots. Whatever left over can go to cool accessories.

If/when they retool CJ into Bumblebee they should do a cool transforming Action master Heli Pack.

Edit: You know what would be awesome? If they take the T30 Legends concept to another level. Include a Micromaster not available elsewhere for those updated Minibots. Iirc most of the T30 Targetmaster partners were already Micromasters to begin with.

Cliffjumper is an absolute unit and the best figure in wave 1! :D

There is nothing glaring about the overall figure (like articulation on Starscream, mini-bot trailer and gray thighs on 'voyager' Prime, etc. :p ).

He's supposed to be short so argument about his smaller size is moot, but yeah 'cooler' accessories would've been nice.

I like to pretend his extra accessories is an add-on kit for the accessory-less Wheeljack. :p

Or Spike! I mean they gave us Brains and wheelie for Shockwave. Should they give us humans? Or some explosion effects perhaps?

    Absolutely this.
He’s on my list... but at his size and parts forming he’s at the very bottom. So when I see an excellent sale, that’s when I’m getting him.
