Some of the other pretenders were in the Seacon manga (or was it the Star Convoy manga?).

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned, since I had another look... when he upgrades to Ultra Megatron in this comic, he has the triple cannon on his shoulders like the original design from battle stars. Also, in the released images of the toy, he clearly has some lines around his face, and there are lines around his face during the upgrade to Ultra, that suggest his face may rotate to mimic the upgrade to Ultra Megatron, which has different details around the face!

Now there's nothing stopping us from hearing about Armada Optimus some time after Super Megatron gets released, right?

Can some please try there best to put Titains galvatron in Tank mode.

I want to see how it looks. The tank treads look like they are molded in back lower leg.

Boy, I never thought I'd see the day. Super Megatron - I always loved that design. Never thought I'd see a new one get made, or certainly not from official channels. If anything I thought some enterprising 3rd party might tackle one, but Takara? Wow.

Well....crap. I'll go get my wallet and order Star Convoy in anticipation for this. I knew it was going to be a Galvatron remold, but I didn't know it would look this awesome. I just wish they would have put the 5mm peg on Galvatron's bicep too..

 

I think so too. With TR Galvatron's tread location, a tank mode would mostly look like his cannon mode.
If you did manage to get a rickety tank looking mode, the Cannon mode would blow it away. Literally!

So, there's a LOT of speculation about how the conversion from Super to Ultra Megatron will work, and most people have guessed that what seems most likely in regards to the figure itself is that his head has a switching gimmick to change the front of his helmet. The Super Megatron cannon splitting at the front to reveal the triple-barrel cannon has been noted, and the triple-barrel itself also seems to detach from the rest of the Super cannon considering its placement in the Manga panels where it appears, mounted separately from the Super cannon on top of Ultra Megatron's shoulder, and on the opposite end of the opened Super Cannon when used as the turret for tank mode.

WHat seems to have people stumped for now is how the chest works, since there's some clearly different detailing between Super and Ultra Megatron's chests, Super has a symmetrical look, Ultra has an asymmetrical look. How will this work you may ask, and the answer's actually surprisingly simple. What seems to be the most straightforward solution to how this works is something that's been done on another recent fiigure, in a smaller scale. Namely Siege Ultra Magnus's crotchplate! Remember how it works? It flips down on a hinge and then rotates to reveal the other side before flipping up again, simple as that. And if you look closely at Super Megatron, there's a pin in his lower abdomen, and the seam lines of his chest from the side indicates the front of his chest is a separate piee from the rest of his torso, and I'd hazard a guess that the middle of his torso (between his grey abdomen section and the chest plate) is the point of rotation for this part of the transformation.

Another thing to note, the pegholes on his upper arms have this little tab extending at the bottom. This is clearly the point where his knee-pads tab into when you transform him into tank mode. Now why would they put them there? well when you look at the original TR Galvatron toy, and look at how his knees tab into place for the jet mode, his legs are at an obvious angle outwards, which wouldn't really work for a tank. So they've clearly given him some new tabs to change the angle so that the legs can lock into place and point straight forwards now for the tank mode. And speaking of his legs, the tank treads on them are clearly new pieces that simply replace the old panels that TR Galvtron had to cover up the backs of his lower legs.

 

They already showed us months ago that the mini Galvatron coming with Haslab Unicron was redesigned to be more directly based on the animation, rather than a reuse of the TR figure's CAD file as was used for the initial prototype:

I don't know about that but I'm hoping we get a new and improved Galvatron during this ER line or the next.
