This is my second legends figure purchase, and I am very pleased with it. I love the shrunken masterpiece look of the figure. A lot of cool accessories with it, but in my opinion the best looking legends Megs out there. I am trying to convince myself not to go down the rabbit hole of legends, but Magic Square and NewAge are making it a challenge. If you're on the fence about buying it, it's worth it.

Masterpiece has totally lost its appeal to me. Unreasonable costs plus very fragile equals no buy for me. These Legends figures have great articulation, look the part, can be easily/quickly transformed, and don't break.

Any word on a leg upgrade kit for other colors? I'd love to get it for the toy release.

They probably lost enough money with the original one and won’t do the others.

I dunno - the only way I'd think they lost money is if there's a bunch unsold. But it's sold out some places and showz lists them as preorder. Maybe its the mold difference - for some reason the original toy and toon thighs are slightly different.

Cheers to @Mad Prime for the original link! From Google translate...

(Stuff in square brackets is my own interpretation - I don’t speak Chinese!)

NA H9C Megatron comics color sharing. This NA uses a limited number of forms, with a total of 2 limited editions.

[Could be wrong, but I think the reference here to 2 limited editions is because the toy-colours ‘EX’ version was also solicited as being a limited edition.]

It feels more memorable (after all, it has only been repainted and the mold has been played N times). This is a very expected but unexpected one. Thinking of this up-and-coming color match, Yuanzu's comics have n’t seen many friends.

[In other words, there haven’t been many toys specifically based on Marvel comics colours. Apart from Newage Ratchet (with optional red helmet), MP-8X King Grimlock, and the club exclusive MP Ratbat, I can’t think of too many others off the top of my head.]

The Yuanzu comics published by Marvel can be described as a long time ago. The coloring of cartoons at that time was mainly limited by printing technology. Therefore, the color of each character can be described as plain, but it is very unique. The interpretation is indeed classic.

Marvel Yuanzu Comics Megatron (hereinafter referred to as Yuanzu Marvel), because of different artists in comic style, but the style is not uniform, but yellow eyes; dark blue helmet, crotch, arm cannon, hand; red Lateral abdomen, elbow joint; colorless abdomen, but it becomes the same element. NA's Yuanzu Marvel also highlighted these common points. It is simple and sharp, and the gray part is not the same as the original gray. It is brighter. on. Yuanzu's color matching toys are relatively small, so this commemoration is more meaningful, it may be to fill a gap or open a new road.

[So this could be a one-off, or it could lead to other comic versions down the line. I’d definitely be up for a purple version of their Soundwave.]

But definitely more important than the toy itself is the character card, this product is a big challenge for the character card.

[Huh. Seems a bit too late in the day for this line to suddenly introduce character cards, but cool for those who want them, I guess.]

[Anyway, I’m digging the lighter grey and the use of dark blue. Marvel U.K. gold chest version next, anyone...?]

    From Newage Weibo.

Another Newage Megatron version. They are really milking Megatron.

Nice to see him next to Iron Factory The Fallen, which is a remold of the IF Megatron, just hope Megatron doesn't call him master like in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

If that is the new Megatron packaged right next to it, then it looks like this purple translucent one is going to be limited to 50 pieces.

It's nice when the clear variants have a lore reason for them. Now the need to do a Galvatron in both regular and this clearish purple so you can have a display of them changing from one to the other.

I would love a Marvel Megatron but I hate when they take the colors so literally - the black parts were black. The only reason they looked blue in the comics is because the printing technology was limited - blue was used to show the shading/highlights on black objects. People do custom paint jobs in comic colors all the time but only the actual toy companies (Hasbro did mp08 using blue where they should've used black) seem to be dumb enough to think anybody would want blacks to be blue.

You mean Superman doesn't actually have blue streaks in his hair?
