Wave 2 to me has been the only wave where every single figure looks amazing. No filler repaints, scale accuracy for all four figures, and three dream figures (it's not Lockdown) I've been waiting for for years.

I even like ROTF Megatron now! He's the most accurate of the three Megatrons, I must admit.

    10/10 best SS Constructicon ;)

It's getting significantly harder to line them all up for a group photo.
    20200401_164958.jpg but it's a goddamn beautiful lineup

To be fair Shatter has a godawful design. It’s a pretty good adaptation of whatever made Travis Knight think that design was good for a triple changer.

Was he really only $270?? Damn. That's actually pretty affordable considering everything you get with him.

I guess I conflated his price because I too was in high school when he was first announced but at the time, with my only income coming from a part time job, still thought that price was unobtainable. Congrats at getting him at 15, dude. That's awesome! He's definitely a grail worthy piece. I absolutely love the gunmetal plastic they were able to include on him. Really makes him stand out from the rest of the leader Prime releases.

I think I actually saw him for just $230 about a year after he came out too, probably left over stock. Since then I'm sure aftermarket prices for him have surely gone up though. Objectively I think MB-11 is the better buy, but I love all of the tech and weapons APS01-U has and don't regret paying what I paid for him.

It just sucks that one of the rubber joints for the giant gatling guns tore off on mine. I displayed his jetpack as a sort of anti-aircraft platform for a while, and one of the guns came off out of view and was hanging off for a while and the rubber arm tore off slowly. Obviously he can still hold it, but the arms were cool. Maybe I should buy a KO jetpack and use the rubber arms from that?

Yeah, I've been messing with Bee as well.
The hip joints aren't real tight and the legs tend to flop a bit, but he can at least stand for now.
I like the articulation, so that's pretty fun.

Also makes for a good stand-in until an Earthrise BB is released.

With the loose hip ball-joints on SS-57, I find that coating the ball-joints with a few thin coats of superglue are enough to tighten them up. Just pop off the legs out, apply a few thin coats of superglue on the ball-joints, wait for them to fully cure, pop the legs back on and you're good to go.

With that being done, SS-57 is as good of a figure as it could possibly get.

A local shop got him in stock and I ran down to grab him immediately. That and we here in Southeast Asia tend to get releases earlier than the rest of the world :p

    Slick Roadbuster btw!

Hey @NemesisJazz meant to ask you, what paint did you use for Roadbuster's green? That's an incredible match!

I cannot wait to see what the customizing crew does to Sentinel Prime.

you forgot to peg the front landing gear into the back, that's what locks the "ab crunch" in place.
and the panel right behind the canopy is supposed to be flipped up when the exhausts are flipped down to get the full vtol mode, there's some vtol engine detail under that panel.

The torn rubber joint really sucks. I know the feeling of having a breakage on a figure that doesn't ruin it completely but it makes it feel less than perfect. You could certainly try and find a KO jetpack but I'm just not sure where you would purchase it from. It seems like all of those UFO upgrades have evaporated off of Ebay and other retailers. Maybe I just haven't looked recently. It's worth it though. It's why I didn't give up on finding the shield and gun for my Prime. He feels complete now.

Man all these pics of Jeep Bee are tempting me....ugh.
No. I’ll wait for that rumored Cybertron Bee instead. Must resist. Plus SS-49 is still my definitive Bee since it’s 2007.

Also, tape is a good choice if someone’s afraid of using glue for whatever reason. Just wrapping a joint in a small piece should be enough to tighten it. I think duct tape would be best, because it sticks waaay more than scotch tape

Do you have any studio series deluxe carbots you could compare him to in bot and alt mode? I'm curious how an old scout figure sizes up next to the tiny studio series deluxes

In alt mode, to complete that vtol effect, you can open up that panel behind the cockpit and it uncovers molded air intakes to match up with the thrusters molded into the bottom.

And in bot mode, if you fold down her forward landing gear, it'll tab into the back of her waist, securing the torso and backpack all together solidly

Edit: Well shoot, reading further through the thread and both of my points have already been pointed out in one post:mad: :lol
