Not sure if this is the right thread but as far as a CHUG Warpath goes is it best to go with the Combiners Wars Legends figure or go for the Generations Deluxe? I know there is a big difference in scale but Warpath was most of the time shown the same size as the cars in the cartoon. So basically that's why I am asking. Can someone post a pic of how the Deluxe scales with the latest Siege figures :)

If you can get him, I'd try and get the Generations figure. He's not only the best Wrapath out there, but just a damn fine toy too. I'll try and take a picture later on today.

The deluxe Warpath is awesome. It's worth finding one. Even as an H-tank, it's a great representation of the character and is just a lot of fun to play with. Just be warned the rocket launcher is on a hair trigger and has impressive range. I'm lucky I managed to find the missile after a few months. I don't keep it loaded on the shelf anymore.

I got the platinum edition off of eBay for a good price
    DSC_0422.JPG
I got it mainly because I prefer earth alt-modes and because I'm disappointed with Siege Ultra Magnus, TR Kup, Siege Springer and utterly disappointed with ER Arcee
    CW Magnus is soooo cool
    DSC_0423.JPG

Also, I absolutely love that Blurr. His Articulation is stellar and he is way less boring than TR Blurr. So much playability. Weapon storage in both modes AND you don't ever have to remove the guns!! They store in the same place in both modes.
Everyone Always Said, he couldn't pull off a decent sniper pose. I beg to differ:
    DSC_0426.JPG
That is one dope sniper pose. He can even look right into the sight
His shoulders have full range other than many believe. All you have to is fold the shoulder pads down.
    So
    - incredible arm articulation
    - awesome look
    - crazy cool weapon storage + playability
    - earth mode

When it comes to just the figures themselves, Generations all the way. Having owned both, the Generations version is better detailed and articulated and more accurate to the G1 design (minus the fact it's an H Tank).

When it comes to scale, that's 100% up to you. I personally don't think it makes much sense for Warpath to be minibot size. To me he should be Deluxe size at the smallest, which is also why I prefer the Generations version. I think he looks great next to Siege Deluxes and makes a great fit to my "Wreckers" shelf.

Maybe you got a bad one or I got lucky cause the missile on mine has never misfired, even when he takes a shelf dive.

yeah I have some issues with that mold (mostly around the scaling and janky integration of the mini-figure), but it's WAAAAAY better then Siege Magnus (and all his bulk that can't get out of it's own way), and that deco is sick.
I prefer the Legends version of Blurr overall, but that is a great mold, and absolutely shames Earthrise Cliffjumper and his "legend with extra parts = deluxe price"

the decos in that whole set are all pretty fantastic.

Legends Blurr is the better Blurr, agree, but I feel like this is the cooler toy. I really like the design and wasn't a huge fan of G1 Blurr. He didn't talk fast. He Just repeated words quickly. Most of the time he wasn't even depicted as fast.
Now imagine that character as a the flash in a western style shoot out. No-one will ever draw quicker than Blurr haha. I imagine him using the sniper rifle to scout an area and then use his pistols speeding through that place quickly shooting everything almost simultaneously from an outsider's point of view :)

I don't get your Cliffjumper comparison though

Why would CW UM be too big? It's not like G1 had a strict size for each character. One shot wheelie fits on Grimlocks nose while in the next shot he's as big as Blurr. Same for Magnus. Sometimes the same height as Rodimus sometimes the same size as Kup. So, personally I try concentrating on proper vehicle size for CHUG molds

Rediscovered this guy. Great articulation for such small scale and it still has big command presence.

Exceedingly disappointed I passed up on both Legends Blurr and Shockwave. I really don't know what I was thinking.

I get so tired of hearing that argument. When will people realize price point and height aren't directly correlated?

Agreed, but it is what it is. Some people dig their heels in and won’t accept anything that goes against their opinion

They don't. The partsforming makes me feel uncertain. It's like they tried to pull off something great and realized they couldn't fix the partsforming in time so they left it there. I guess this means Cliffjumper is not overpriced but his engineering may have taken some wrong turns during the design process. The result is still awesome and I kinda want it. However, no matter if the partsforming brothers you or not, it does leave room for improvement, ie a better Cliffjumper in a distant future. Then again it seemingly took Hastak forever to invest in a unique CJ mold that isn't a repaint.. this makes me think it's very unlikely that we get a new CJ any time soon.
But, considering that we will more likely get an improved Bumblebee in 10 years maybe we also get another improved CJ yet in this case again only as a repaint?
Man.. I don't know what to do. I've waited 12 years for this Cliffjumper. Maybe I should wait 10 more?

This whole post and dilemma refers to Hasbro's "room for improvement" strategy they are pulling off since the 80s. For example They kept releasing new Optimus Prime toys yet until now NEVER a truly G1 Voyager mold.

Since earthrise I keep thinking that this line might be the final CHUG studio series line. The final "perfect" representation after years of trial and error

Hi guys, I recently created a collection thread and thought I'd share the pics here too. The scope of my collection is every character from the US version of the G1 cartoon.
