Reissue means there's an improvement?

 

Up on Anime Export with the usual pre-order discount, so it's a Japan TT rerelease.

 

Isn’t it strange? Has there ever been a reissue announced directly the month after a release? It’s puzzling. Especially because I assume LC sold/was expected to sell far fewer units than the likes of Sunstreaker or 44.

 

I'm guessing a lot of plans have/will change from the ripples of the virus. He did however get a very strong response in Japan which may play into it. Like you I was hoping we would get a fixed reissue/repaint of Hound and/or Bee.

 

The last sentence is probably why they're reissuing it, it outsold their expectations. I suspect jackisking may be right though the virus situation could be affecting things. Might be easier for the factory to produce something they're already trained to make, rather than introduce a new mould and new training procedures.

We've had a few MPs that had a reissue announced right after release, which came about 9 months later. Ironhide came out in January, a reissue in September. Megatron came out in April, a reissue in January. Feel like Shockwave might have been reissued too pretty quickly, not sure. It definitely also happened with Sideswipe.

Released in February and reissued in September is a really fast turnaround though.

 

It sure ain't like he is sold out everywhere. I transformed my mp48 figure once and am waiting for the most relaxed moment to attempt to return him to lion mode. The two instances where the plastic must slightly deform to execute conversion scare the hell out of me. Especially that little mushroom peg on the mane where you must twist it around 180 degrees while it contacts the carrier assembly. I wonder if they are still trying to find a suitable green plastic for Hound, I thought I read they would issue replacements upon receiving a return. IMO hound owners deserve a flat-out refund.

 

I wonder how big will he be?

Hasbro Pulse's ship date for this guy just changed from 4/6 to 4/20.

The only interference during conversion on mine are the white waist side parts. For the mane you should be able to rotate it without too much interference. Be sure to bend the fur piece below his head out of the way first. On mine that hinge was tight and at first I didn’t know you could move it out of the way.

 

Flipping heck a reissue already! ..and people said he wouldn't sell.

 

Welp. Just went to 5/4. Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping...

People will get their reissue, before pulse people get theirs......for shame

Yeah, I think this is a reflection of where we're at right now. There are plenty on Yahoo jp going for less than the P.O. discount. BW Megatron and Dinobot would have been more ideal. We might see a primal reissue next year. His price has crept back op to the $100 mark after being in the $70-80 before Lio's release. Hopefully if worse come to worse, they reissue fixed 44s,45s,and 47s if we don't see anything else new for a while.
