No, I never picked up Siege Prime. That's a very careful paint job with a pair of tweezers.

Absolutely. Yellow eyes would have got away without it, but blue eyes need a silver face. I also chromed his smokestacks and wheels. So much better now.

 

On my copy, there is a bit of silver gradiated onto the nose and eye sockets. Whether intentional or accidental overspray by the factory worker, I lucked out.

I didn't even have a smidge of it. Hence the need for a full paint.

 

I glanced over at Prime while working today and it struck me how many port holes are visible from the angle I was looking at him. I never really noticed before and it doesn’t bother me, I just found it amusing.

I am sticking with my Siege Optimus. Something about how the upper legs are done on the Earthrise just don't look right to me. Makes his proportions look off...lanky legs and a bunched up torso. But then that is probably me lol

Foreshadowing the future interesting he can achieve this does someone could try to put it in lg ginrai or powermaster optimus prime i think he would fit? Possible a generations selecta future release

 

Don't worry, it's not just you! Stand him next to the Siege Voyager, and you'll see Earthrise has some boxy looking hips going on.

Considering HasTak are probably never going to top Earthrise for a G1 accurate mainline Prime, how many different repaints do you reckon we'll end up getting in future?

I can at least see:

• "Battle damaged" '86 movie deco
• G2 repaint with black trailer
• 'Deluxe edition' with yellow eyes, grey fists, a silver trailer, drone done with blue plastic and roller included

 

I can definitely see a G2 version; this Prime's really rocking that G2 comic headsculpt.

 

The headsculpt's identical to the Siege version.

 

G2 would be sick. I'd like to see a version that comes with Siege's axe done in translucent orange, though.

 

I didn't mind it at 1st because it seemingly fixed an issue with SIEGE Prime's waistplate hindering hip range of motion. However, what I didn't expect, was for EarthRise Prime's knees to be more limited. In addition, even if you use the waist swivel to move the torso out of the way, the hips cannot move beyond 90 degrees like they can on Springer(which has a similar design with the waistplates built onto the hip joints).

 

Yeah, it's strange. They got it right on the Seeker mold too, but at least 90 degrees seems like it's enough for most poses, since that's what the Classics mold is capable of, and that was good enough for me articulation-wise.
