The real question is, when the actual IF-01 is announced will this thread be renamed or the topic changed?

Cause we already knew who the first one was gonna be like 2 years ago.

 

Changing the first character is a small thing from that far out. If this turns out to be as revealed this thread will continue. If this turns out to be like Ultio was 2 years ago the thread title will get changed to reflect the April Fools nature and a new thread will be created for the real IF-01, and maybe in a year and a half we may rename it to TFCon October 2021 exclusive.

Well last I checked they said Drift would be the first figure.

 

Have they actually said anything about this line since the Sept 2018 announcement before today?

 

Nothing else as far as I know.

I keep worrying either way. But I think my problem is I just want this line to be what it was announced to be. I want my G1 MP styled Drift, Windblade and Tarn as they could potentially happen.

This is a cool design and it shouldn’t be wasted, but I just hope it works in the context of the line. Or it’s a whole other line.

 

I mean its interesting, but would probably be better to get a new female character that's part of the DJD rather than just a gender-bent Tarn and that's all she has to her.

 

Maybe she could be Polyhex? That’s another classic part of Decepticon geography.

 

I mean you can name her whatever, still doesn’t change that she’s designed to be just a gender bent tarn.

 

I'd buy it, but I'd rather they did a decent Milne-style Nautica.

Im always down for more fembots, this would look great squaring up against she-who-will-not-be-named. But if the size is different then she'd still fit in great with the Cross Dimension line I think.

 

If I believed this and found out it was fake the next day, my heart will break. So for now, I'll say its an april fools joke so that if it turns out to be real, I'll be a happy dude ;D

 

I saw Ryan make a similar reply on Facebook. The problem is in the same line of comments he talked about loving the confusion April Fools announcements creates. I worry whether he was just saying it in the "spirit of the holiday" to encourage confusion or not. I simply don't know him so I can't judge properly.

 

I would buy this. Probably not the other djd members if they were gender bent. Depends on what the art for that would look like. Fem tarn oozes badassery and would be an instant buy.

Well by instant i mean hopefully i can nab one because im sure it would be a convention exclusive and i dont go to those....
