i'm not sure if it's been mentioned what the goal of this line is but personally I think the idea is to have cartoon style figures for characters that didn't appear in a show, characters like roadbuster or whirl. some people said this might be a rebranding of the "infinite finity" line but apparently that had the goal of giving characters that had futuristic vehicle more normal vehicles but that doesn't seem to apply to this guy

 

I'm still a fan of @skywarp-2 's suggestion for the rocket-like add on parts from a few pages back.

 

I’m pretty sure this is just weird G1. Finity is just anything else that’s been remade G1 style.

I was very close to ordering the generations select star convoy, but as long as the MMC one is still on the table and comes out after the last 2 combaticons then I can wait.

 

I wonder if MMC would consider making a companion Super Megatron to go with this guy...

 

What if a third party just completes the Takara figure by creating the rest of the figure's mold, everything below the waist.
I can't wait for some proper versions of these guys. The original designs proportions, while aged, look fantastic!
I don't know if this really fits into Reformatted, the alt mode is slightly different but the bot mode is pretty close to comic character portrayal.

I doubt a super Megatron will come. If it does, may not be for a while. @LazyAza might be able to back me up here on this, but as I recall from what I was told aaaaages ago when Reformatted Meg's hit, it's alt mode was designed to be an homage to Super Megatron, which you can see from the wing flaps and the cannon. Could MMC make one? Sure. Could they be working on one? Sure. We won't know I imagine till some TFCon though.

 

Well I wouldn’t exactly think Tyrantronus is prime evidence to be sure that it won’t happen. Since he’s more of an homage. An actual super Megatron, a big one, with all the accessories and details.

I mean if that was their reason to not make one, are we supposed to just use Tyrantronus as a super Megatron? Seems a bit weird.

Maybe they'll keep an eye on super Megatron takra tomy. If it sells well, and seems to have an audience, maybe they'll make one. After all, id assume one would sell better if the other 1 is out. They sell better as a pair probably.

 

Lol they're not. They might some day but its probably going to depend how Stellarus sells ultimately and if people have interest in that era of g1 designs getting more attention.

When it comes to Megatron I think I'm pretty tired of the same old silver tank, silver jet kind of thing though. I dream of seeing mps of the Armada or CR designs some day. But their are entirely other villains criminally under represented by the hobby as well like Nova, Fallen, Liege, Galvatron, Tyrest.

Heck another crack at bomber megs would be awesome. GT's being pretty good but not perfect.

 

I would definitely wanna see some of those other guys. Even if they didn’t transform like Liege and Tyrest.

Hell I’d die to see that MMC Fort Max just so we get that Armada Megatron from him.
