How tall is TR Galvatron next to say Siege Megatron?

 

Me too... if it truly is 100% Super Megatron. I continue to pass on Star Convoy because he is only 50%.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. Hasbro took control of the factories when they moved them to Vietnam. They are responsible for raw material supply and due to the brand unification are managing both Hasbro and Takara releases for everything other than Masterpiece.

 

This reminds me.....I am in dire medical need of a non Headmaster Comic Colors Galvatron and will pay stupid money for it please and thanks HasTak.

 

Its now under Hasbro's main control. Sigh.

 

TR Galvatron is roughly half a head taller or so, depending on how you have Megs configured.

 

I don't think there's any way they could have done a 100% Star Convoy with that particular mold. Maybe with the TR Voyager Optimus prime...but even then he'd be 66% max.

The only way you'd get a 100% is by way of an all new toy.

 

Honestly saying things like this shows how little of Takara's domestic situation is. The reality is that they've been doing poorly as a company for years. With Transformers on the lower end of the popularity, thisove to better connect with Hasbro is better for their bottom line. They still have some autonomy to do their own thing, while being partnered with Hasbro even more closely to both share the retail burden.

Sure it sucks that we're not getting different paint jobs but considering something like Grand Max couldn't even get the 3K preorders I think this is the best for everyone. I'd rather have Takara Tomy in some form than...not.

Plus, the Seacons are literally awesome. They blow away everything Hasbro has done in CW and even outdid their own UW stuff. I don't think they've lost their touch at all. It's just more special when it comes around now.

 

TR/Legends Galvatron was a mess. We have the Legends version. Had the potential to be a great figure but hampered by the TR line-wide gimmicks. The face mask system alone was flippin' awful and showed that an entire better head could have fit in there.

I can see them doing a heavy retool like they have done with other figures and hope for the best.

 

Glad to see that this wasn't shelved. Not that there were signs of that but still it's good to see this is still going to be released in the future.

 

I bought those Renderform heads for both of my Galvatrons and that stupid mask gimmick hasnt seen light of day since. But I would hope we get a non-gimmick Galvatron and Rodimus Prime with trailer in this trilogy. I want that way more than a "Super Megatron" whereever that concept came from.

 

I could see Takara replacing the mask and neck assembly with a retooled head that folds into the chest.
And now I don't know if I want a titan master Super Megatron or a solid head...
Though in the jet mode image it looks like there may be a cockpit, possibly showing they still plan on it being a titan master?

I know someone already asked this, but would anyone be so kind as to provide a picture of TR Galvatron next to Siege Megatron?

Also, does it look to anyone else like they scrapped the headmaster gimmick on this one?

 

There's no way to tell until we see actual pics of the guy.

I hope they did though, otherwise I'm out and I really don't wanna be out.

I was thinking that too, but I'm not sure anymore. The jet mode silhouette looks like it still has a very defined cockpit for a titan master.

 

Agreed, if this thing is a headmaster still I'm out too.
