Hasbro also includes the full toy line name in their Selects releases, hence why it's possible Unicron could be released under the Selects line.

I'm getting a vibe from Siege leader class Shockwave... I think that where the base is from and then retooling, heavy retooling of the parts on top of that.

Meh, I'll pass especially considering how much I had to do to make TR Galvatron look presentable. Yet still wouldn't mind a better Galvatron mold (and Cyclonus and Scourge to) in this WFC Trilogy.

I still think they could've made a decent Straxus/Darkmount out of this TR Galvy mold but at Retail though!

Feels like that could be another extensive retool of POTP Optimus, Earthrise Optimus, or Galaxy Upgrade Optimus. Unless he turns into a jet?

In any case, Gilthor would need to have that left arm of his be like accessories or something.

Hasbro developed Galvatron. Hasbro had nothing to do with Super Megatron's development.

I'm currently making one with my leftover Siege Prime and Megatron. Just need to finish the chest, attach the shoulder pipe things, the waist armor and attach the cannon to the revolver barrel arm. But it won't transform, so I'd love an official one mode to work with all these design elements I'm attaching.

dude, unicron is not a selects. he is listed as Transformers War For Cybertron Unicron, if he was a selects he would be listed as Transformers Generations Selects WFC-GSXX Unicron. Unicron will not be a selects release

It's possible but there's no real reason to do so. The spirit of the selects line is obscure or otherwise not really worth new moulding characters. Unicron will probably come out under his own "Haslab" line of one.

It's Titans Return Galvatron the feet, legs and elbows among other things give it away.

Depending on the price I'll get Super Megatron. It's insane that this thing is actually happening.

Super Megatron is clearly still 50%+ Galvatron there for yes Hasbro still had something to do with Super Megatron's development even if not directly. Also as it's part of the Generations line Takara still has to go through Hasbro's supply and factory chain.

hasbro had something to do with galvatrons development, nobody is denying that. but all of the extra development to turn galvatron into super megatron is what people are talking about. that is 100% takara.

Sigh, very stoked to see this, and will probably buy it, and not to be ungrateful, but Takara's really died off lately! I mean, how long ago was it that we got this teased?? I get that Hasbro clearly wears the pants, and that they have to focus on what Hasbro wants to do and then the brand unification and all that, but I can't help but feel that modern Takara really doesn't care about making anything unique anymore. It's hard to believe that just 3 or 4 years ago, this company was lovingly giving us the LEGENDS series, complete with comics in the instructions!! Maybe they went too hard, for too long, and just burnt out... :(

Just because they developed Galvatron doesn't mean they had any participation in future releases of that mold.

That's like saying a father who left his child at birth is responsible for the person they grew up to be when someone else raised the child.

Also, wrong. Takara has their own independent Selects line. Hasbro just offers them on their site along their own product.

Takara initiated. With their own release numbers, too.

    I've always wanted Super Megatron.
I hope I'm still alive by the time he comes out.

Grand Max’s preorders were under 3000. I’m pretty sure Takara just realized how abysmal the numbers were doing in their domestic market and just simply pulled the plug and a lot of the budget on Japanese exclusive molds/ repaints.

It's really odd that this photo of TR Galv is in the standing in the same position and angle as this teaser....
