Bookmarked. These look fantastic, thank you. Seems one has to do some research to find the right configuration but fortunately I’m not in a rush. Much appreciated!

I'm not satisfied with mine. I previously had them arranged by era. Pre-Movie and then Post-Movie, and I currently have them arranged by faction. And yet, I'm still not feeling it.

    Any advice? Suggestions?

Thinking of getting these from IKEA, only $180. My only concern is that I want one to display all the bots in robot mode, and another all in alternate mode. For MP figures do you think these dimensions will allow me enough room for big alt modes like Prime and Ultra Magnus?

I know I am good on height.

So I'm looking into making some sort of city battle diorama type thing. Similar the display that was used at last years comic con for the Siege reveals. I've been looking at kits from some random hobby sites but not a lot scales well with Chug style stuff. Was planning on incorporating my City Bot base modes too. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey fellow detolf owners, I need some help.

A few of my cases have minor QC issues. The metal bars that hold the shelves on a few cases are slightly out of square which is leaving me with a slight wobble on shelves. I've tightened the bolts as much as I can and still have the issue. Are there any shelf pad replacement solutions that I could use to level things out without looking crappy? I'd preciously used furniture pads in the cases where I added shelves with the cable tie method but they just look super shitty.

What is everyone's opinion on the best type of light source for Transformers Masterpiece toys.

I am going to go the LED strip route but my real question is what is best:

    White/Natural light
    or
    Yellow/Soft light.

I've seen both types. Don't know much about Pros and Cons, just yet just from a few Youtube videos where some argue both types to be better.

If this has been discussed please point me to the thread.

    Thank you!

I prefer white personally. I never thought yellow/soft light looked good. This is all lit with white lighting.

I think soft light messes with the way the colors look.

I am looking for some clear plastic boxes to set my figures on so you can see row 2 behind row 1. something on the order of 4~6 inches deep, 12~18 inches wide, and 2~6 inches tall. I want to have 2-3 rows per shelf so you can see them all.

Also are there any generic flight stands that would work well with planet x/fansproject swoop?

Do a search for clear acrylic risers on Amazon, I've picked up a bunch of different sizes over the years, usually very cheap.

All figures enclosed in sealed display cases. It's the only way to be sure. :D

I keep most of it in detolf cases. While not air tight, they do cut down on dust a lot. Other than that, my HVAC fan is set to always on so it's constantly filtering the air and I just change my filter quarterly and sweep weekly. Been a year and a half since I bought the house and I haven't had to dust my toy room yet.

I have them behind closed and sealed doors with windows. No dust in there.

I used to sprinkle them with catnip and have my cat lick them clean. Then there was that unfortunate incident with Sixshot.

When putting figures in storage, use tubs with weatherproof seals to protect from moisture. It also cuts down on dust building up inside the tub.

I keep the vents to the display room closed and covered. The door to the room is always closed unless I'm in there and it cuts the dust down A LOT. When something needs a clean which is pretty rare so far, I use a can of compressed air and one of these:

You can drag it over your hand and barely feel it, it's that fine a brush. Does an amazing job for delicate stuff and grooves in figures without having to mess with their poses.
