I just saw someone post in a different section here, revealing that they've never seen Aliens, or any horror movies.

I thought, daaaamn. I am assuming that the person is very young. (relative to older farts like myself) maybe they had strict parents, or they don't like or care for the genre.

But then you come across older people that have never seen Star Wars. And when they admit that, the person that they're talking to will freak out.

Surely, there are plenty of people out there that just aren't into the mainstream pop-culture stuff that most of us have seen and enjoy. Or the cult classic stuff. I have a friend who is like this. He couldn't care less about super hero movies.

I have another friend that loves movies, especially horror. He's never seen any of the Evil Dead movies, and that just makes me go wtf! whenever we talk about it.

Another friend, who grew up in the 80s like me, has never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which kills me. He in turn, feels the same about me not watching Dark Crystal.

But anyways, some movies that I haven't seen, that are really super well known:

    Citizen Kane
I've been meaning to watch this for years. I love the art of cinema, and feel as though it is almost required for someone such as myself to at least experience it.

    Casablanca

    Twilight movies
I am not the target audience for this. And I'm guessing that I'm not missing much. But they were popular enough, that perhaps I should try viewing it, just to see what the phenomenon was all about.

Friday the 13th and Halloween movies
Never seen any of them. Except Freddy vs Jason. I have seen every Nightmare film.

I'll admit I have not watched Frozen or its sequel, so I have no real frame of reference for the "Let It Go" song jokes and memes. With more time at home (in theory) during telework, maybe I can catch it finally.

I never saw any of the Harry Potter films.
I saw up to the 2nd twilight. I didn't see the final chapter(s) if that counts.
I never seen any of the Alien films as well though I've seen Prometheus.
I only seen Freddy vs Jason too when it comes to the Freddy Kruger saga.

I've never seen Aliens, or any Friday the Thirteenth or Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I'm not a horror fan by any stretch of the imagination.

Movies that are popular that I have not seen would be

Any Harry Potter after the first two (I will get around to it eventually)
Lord of the Rings and Hobbit (I know I suck)
Princess Bride (I know I suck)
Alien and Aliens (I know I suck)
Friday the Thirteenth (not a horror person)
Nightmare on Elm Street (not a horror person)
Godfather II and III (I had a film teacher that ruined the series of me as we watched the first one in class spoiling how it all end)
    Twilight (Don't care)
    Titanic (Don't care)

    I’ve never seen:
    Pulp Fiction
    The Big Lebowski
    Magic Mike
    The Fugitive
Any of the Clear & Present Danger movies
    None of the Taken movies
The Hunt for Red October (only snippets- never the whole movie, though what I saw was awesome).

I still haven't seen the last two thirds of Apocalypse Now - they just got past Mr. "Smell of Napalm" and stole his surfboard, then ended up at some riverside supply outfit, and I've never watched the rest. Not out of disinterest - I had to get to bed and I've never gotten around to putting the disc back in the player.

I'm just not a big movie fan in general, the list of movies I've never seen is probably longer than anyone's. I've got a minute or two to think here...

Not a big crime fan, so I've never seen any Godfather movies, or Goodfellas, or Casino, or... just name them, I haven't seen them.

Never seen any Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Or Frozen, or any movie with Minions in it. No Austin Powers movies. No Fifty Shades movies. None of the horror films anyone has listed. No Freddy, no Jason, no Saw.

In the superhero genre, I never saw The Winter Soldier, which might be the only one on the list I'd want to see. Never saw Deadpool 1 or 2. Can't honestly remember if I saw X-Men: First Class or not, but definitely didn't see any of its sequels. Didn't see Logan, or Aquaman, or Suicide Squad, or Birds of Prey. I'm sure there are others I can't think of.

I could probably list a load of popular and well known films, but it would be too long.

    For me the best way to think of things is as I say to loads of other people;

If it's well loved, well received or a classic, then it's likely I've never seen it. However if it's a C-List or "Who are they?" sorta movie than I've probably seen it.

Perfect examples are Godfather Trilogy? Nope. Chupacabra on the High Seas - Yep, seen it 2 or 3 times at least.

    Oh yeah, never seen:
The Godfather trilogy & have no desire too.
    Good Fellas
All but the first Twilight (my sister made me watch it so she could share her pain with someone :p  )
Batman vs Superman (we’ve been borrowing it for over a year- it’s still sitting in our home & we still haven’t watched it. The original owner doesn’t care)
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 & 5 (we tapped out after part 3)
Solo, Last Jedi, & Rise of Skywalker
    Mad Max Fury Road
    Apocalypse Now
    Platoon
Pretty much any horror movie from the last 20 years. No Saw. No Hostel. No Sinister, Anabelle, Grudge, Devil’s Rejects, etc. etc.

    So many more.

Not a horror movie fan at all. It’s mainly to me how not to use sharp objects and power tools. I saw all the Star Wars films in the theater all 9 of them. I have seen some of the Trek films in the theater. I never saw Alien just the last part. I really didn’t care for it but I liked Aliens though. I lost interest after the last 2 films. I never saw the original Terminator but saw the second one(again I loved it). Saw the Matrix in the Theater but passed on the other 2 films.

My choices may include box office successes, critical successes, and maybe some that just have a cult following for whatever reason.

    Any Harry Potter
    Any Twilight
    Any Rocky
    Raging Bull
Frozen II (I hated the first)
    Toy Story 4
    Finding Dory
    Monsters University
    Any Cars from Pixar
    Infinity War and Endgame
    Captain Marvel
    Ant Man and the Wasp
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 (I liked the first, but I haven't seen this)
    Casablanca
    Citizen Kane
    The Maltese Falcon
    Ben-Hur
    Lawrence of Arabia
    The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai

Most surprising? Although it wasn't as popular as the main movies it sprung out of, I have never seen....Puss in Boots! Yes, I'm crazy about Shrek, but I have never brought myself to watching a PiB film.

The original "Alien" for me. Friend shared "Aliens" with me as a teen, saw 3 by chance, and most of the further sequels, but never got a convenient way to watch the one that started it. Never find a good deal to buy it when it's on my mind, doesn't seem to be streaming all that often, it's become a running gag at this point.
"The Big Lebowski" might be my other one. I would also say "Amazon Women on The Moon", but probably not considered popular by most.
