the one caveat I'll say to this (because someone will say it) is the netflix voyagers that come with battlemasters. its possible they could sell a soundwave/blaster at a leader equivalent price as multipacks but each would need to come with 4 tapes. not exactly the same as a leader, but given that hasbro has been experimenting with multipacks it is possible

 

yes but not with any standard retail releases. It’s only been repaints they’ve dabbed in that kinda packaging. No new figures have been getting that kinda treatment

 

Ah... but they will be different molds than their Siege release. Just because they were deluxes in the Siege line doesn’t necessarily mean they would have to be released as deluxes again.
Like I said, it’s highly unlikely. But they were pretty big last time around as deluxes anyways. ( I know it’s not about size) but you know they could potentially be classified as voyagers in a new mold. Again, I know it’s 99% not likely. But I wouldn’t say 100% impossible.
It is wishful thinking I suppose. but you know we are going to get Skywarp and Thundercracker somewhere in this line anyways. It’d be nice to have a few didn’t see that coming surprises before this chapter comes to a close

Same here! I remember being into him when Dreamwave debuted him so long ago and this Earthrise line and mold would (to me) be the first truly worthy figure of him!

 

I really hope Skywarp isn’t in this set. It would be nice if he got an individual retail release at some point.
If not, I’ll just skip this and buy Hotlink, and repurpose him.

I already explained this. Those are all repaints! None of them are brand new figures and they’re all exclusives in somemaner. They are all separate molds that were put together which ain’t difficult to do. They’ve not done it once with a mass retail first release figure

The only figure that came with a micromaster is omega supreme and that micromaster is part of omegas mold. Now if...IF they were to attempt a release soundwave and/or blaster and wanted to include micromasters they would be micromasters that are part of SW/B’s molding which would exclude them from being sold in two packs because they are part of their bigger characters molding. Hasbro wouldn’t do that. Look at all the people on here that have said they’d like Countdown to be sold separately. Physically it can’t happen because countdowns parts are made from the same production mold as Omega. If countdown was made separately it’d be a new countdown.

what hasbro can do however make the cassette players and then make more micromaster spy 2 packs. Yes it adds up to the same cost but doesn’t make a couple teams restricted to molds and allows a wider release for the micromasters which is what they will do because that’s what they’ve been doing.

the only way to make a leader class price point of soundwave and blaster with cassettes would be to have an exclusive set with them and the cassettes released much later after a voyager and the 2 packs came out like Hotlink, Skywarp, Megatron and such. Repaint box sets but not first released as a standard leader class figure. A leader price point but not an actual leader class

look at Doubledealer. Instead of releasing his partners with him, they’re coming as an exclusive. Why not release them with him? Because they don’t wanna put micromasters with another figure again on first mass retail release.

greenlight, the battle packs and the Netflix voyagers have all been second/third/etc release of their molds.

looking at that pattern, it’s unlikely that an earth mode blaster or soundwave would come packed with tapes on their first release, unless those tapes were built into their molds. Given that 5 of soundwaves usual 6 tapes have already been made this scenario is unlikely (at least for soundwave).

not saying they wouldn’t do it but if they did it’ll be repaints of voyager soundwave and blaster with a bunch of micromaster cassettes that have already been released. Won’t be any new molds. If they did that and were smart it’d be more logical to make soundblaster and Twincast instead of just a dirty soundwave and blaster

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they have the standard Seeker arm cannons since that's what they have in the cartoon.

Thankfully Hasbro and TakaraTomy plan these things out now and the new wings are all but guaranteed. Unlike with the Classics where they only planned for Ramjet and had to go and tool new parts for Henkei Thrust and Dirge. Not that there is anything wrong with that, since we got the new wings regardless.

 

Well that was even a time when hasbro had zero intention on making anyone else other than what came in classics. They never intended classics to continue after the first movie. It was filler line between Cybertron and the 2007 movie. that’s why they let Botcon make the other seekers in the first place. I don’t blame them for that especially since we got better figures in retail than that botcon set eventually.

 

Maybe. This sub-line focuses on characters in the Netflix animated series. It may be characters who appear in that series in Cybertron mode, but have not had toys released for them.

I'm a bit curious if Countdown uses the same mold as Omega or just the same plastic batch. Metroplex and Scamper have a similar deal, but Funpub made Skorponok without a big purple Metroplex. Or maybe there is a big stockpile of them somewhere...One could only wish.

 

Actually they can block off parts of the mold during the process. I remember the Hasbro guys talking about the process at Botcon back in 2007 or 2008. Even if it’s something that can’t be blocked off, they can recycle material too.
