    the back of the box seems to present the leds as blue, did they photoshop it?

    I had to go back and double check. Sadly they look red. No question.

    Oh. There actually is a pic on the back of the box where it clearly has blue eyes. This is extremely puzzling. I think the eyes should be blue :mad:

    The red eyes are actually just a red piece of clear plastic. I wonder how easy it would be to separate the red plastic and have a blue piece custom made. This is such a big blunder on an otherwise BEAUTIFUL figure.

    that aside both my 38+s are flawless and look beautiful.

    OK... we must all know that I'm a TT super fanboy at this point... but that doesn't mean I don't get extra annoyed and pissed when I notice something like the factory or designers or production team or who-the-fuck-ever changed the EYES TO RED!

    I started snooping across some old promotional pictures and I notice that the eyes were INDEED supposed to be blue from the very beginning. Like they should have been. Found this on the web.

    It's kinda a shame this release didn't come with the open-mouthed faces too. He's still a cutie, though.

    Any way to remove the robot eyes without destroying them? I want to paint them blue

    They’re a separate piece for sure. Obviously glued in. I’m scared to take them out but if I saw someone else do it I may try myself. If someone 3D printed some eyes I’d buy them. Personally I couldn’t paint mine.

    Really sucks that Takara went for red eyes. But they also missed a major oppurtunity by not making a new anime headsculpt for MP38. Maybe they just need to go back and redo MP38 altogether (and free him of his BW s1 proportions). Oops, am I advocating for a v2? :p

    I'm seriously tempted to pick one of these up, because the Beast Wars II movie is great and I have a soft spot for garish color schemes.

    Just purchased this guy. Should be arriving in a week or so. Just wondering for those who own this figure how has it aged. Any problems with the clear red plastic actually breaking?
    Should I be cautious with any of this during transformation?
    Also did anyone figure out how to get Blue eyes for his robot mode?
    Sorry for all the questions, just really excited for this guy. My favorite character and favorite mold. Also met Mr Gary Chalk in person about 5 years ago, really great guy. My kids and I instantly recognize his voice in other cartoons.
