While it wasn't intentional I do hope that Clobber will become a legacy character and makes an appearance along with Lugnut in the future.

I mean, you can present the idea of gender swapping without both sides throwing insults at each other or claiming its for "political reasons". I've done this in real life. It's possible.

I can say sincerely say, "I wonder what a gender swapped Ironhide would be like" without endless "political baggage" tied to the idea. And you could say "I don't find that idea interesting" without "political baggage" tied to your opinion. I mean, if someone says your a bad person for having certain opinions that have nothing to do with your politics but then you go and say the same thing about the other person, you're kinda just repeating the bad behavior everyone (including yourself) is complaining about...

No, I mean that to some a product is misogynist if it doesn't have an even 50/50 split. The patriarchy blah blah blah.

I had a bit of conversation with @TheSoundwave about his less than stellar idea of IPs going into the public domain, and THIS train wreck of an interview tells you that I had a valid point as to what would happen with an IP without some form of caretaker maintaining the integrity of the brand.

Cartoon Network has been shown to cancel prosperous licensed properties to push their shit OC, does it seem out of the realm of possibility that the movies are a way to push the IP as a sort of advertisement ploy?

Also, to the point of gender swapping. If a character does not meaningfully change solely because of a gender swap, then the gender swap is a non-issue. Case in point: Sunstreaker should be a narcissistic sociopath regardless of whether they make the character male, female, straight, gay, or even a bipolar ethnically dysphoric ocelot.

    EDIT: Damn autocorrect...

Ummm.... who was I insulting and how did this "political baggage" narrative conveniently negate the point that I would ultimately like for HasTak to create more female Transformers to begin with? I was just giving a plausible example that likely has more merit than some would like to admit to... So by all means just disregard that 3 lettered acronym and replace it with the nicer meaning.

Moving forward now... When it comes to Fembots, I barely tolerated Transformers: Animated but I still grabbed Slipstream the minute Takara Legends version released (along with Nightbird and BlackArachnia).

And despite how much I LOATHED TF: PRIME, I'd still buy Arachnid and add her to my Fate Weaver's Faction if she ever got a quality WFC version as well. And no they weren't all G1 but my point is that they could benefit by graduating to it.

Season 3 was amazing. Balls to the walls action and those two TV movies were outstanding. Ending could have been better since it felt rushed but in all honesty... Season 3 was dope.

What's so special about the series is the fact that it has its own identity. It featured recognizable characters but with untold stories. Never stuck with just a 5 team core cast as seen on many cartoon these days. Experimented with new and unique ideas. And I'm glad that they didn't feature Unicron. He's done to the death on so many outlets these days.

I watched RID 2015, I liked it but the show never understood whether it wanted to cater the pre-school or kids. Cyberverse on the other hand, knew exactly where it wanted to stand.

    100% Amen to that.
    A few questions tho:
    1. Who was your favorite/least favorite characters?
    2. What elements you loved/hated about this series?
    3. What characters that you would have liked to see in Cyberverse?

Oh, so she advertised this thing on Twitter.

That'd explain all those stupid cringe questions.

    1. Favorite was Hot Rod / Least Favorite was Tarn.
Runner ups for my favorite also include Deadend, Clobber, Wildwheel, and Astrotrain, Phonomenial characters in season 3.

    2. I love the Quintisont ark, The Bumblebee and Chromia one-shot episodes, Cheetor, and the depth of Optimus Prime / I hated almost all of season one (outside of Blurr's episode), the LACK of spark armors of season two, the weird glowy power that came out of nowhere and did almost nothing in season 3, and the Windblade fetch quest as the end of the series.

    3. Thunderclash, Rodimus Prime, Ironhide, Cliffjumper, Mirage, Blue Streak, Impactor, and Galvatron (seriously why didn't they just make Megatron X, Galvatron)

I could ask you the same question. You made a claim first, do you have any proof SU's viewership is "subatomic"?

Who would like to see a male Windblade?
    C2AE23E3-A48D-45B4-B27F-C072A72734E0.jpeg

Plus, I find myself wondering about how many of those who are open to the changing of characters hated Optimus’ portrayal in the Bayverse?

Pretty much. You have the freedom to change what you like, so long as you do so in an approved manner.

After reading this interview, it definitely helps me see your point. It's not just that the ideas are bad, but this interview feels very unprofessional and not very mature. Like, you can certainly have fun with Transformers, but IMO this isn't funny or tastefully done. It reads like a Tumblr fanfiction or something. Yeah, the idea of someone like this getting free reign is kind of scary.

That's not...how it works. I mean, you can certainly omit humans as a creative choice, or if it fits the story. For instance, you don't need humans in War for Cybertron.

But the whole "we didn't want humans distracting from the Transformers" excuse is just a bad excuse to me. Done well, the inclusion of humans will enhance the Transformers' story and make the robots stand out even more. Humans are a key ingredient to the brand. If the goal is to make the humans not distract from the TFs, then just write the characters and story in a way where the humans don't distract. It boils down to how good your writing is, you can't just flat out omit something because you fear you can't handle it well. It's just weird logic to me, it doesn't really hold up. A good storyteller should be able to balance the two.

I mean, I'm all for the "rule of cool", but statements like this make her come across as apathetic. This is the sort of stuff I've been told not to say in a professional setting. There are better ways of wording that you like a particular design. It helps instill confidence if the people in-charge talk like they know what they're doing. "Lol, because it's cool" doesn't instill much confidence in me.
