Spoiler: Things of Interest/Note

• Megatron was going to be killed off, but it was made ambiguous in the final product.
• Jazz was planned to be a girl.
• Almost every character was considered to be in this show. Notable ones include Obsidian, Rumble & Frenzy, a MTMTE-style Ultra Magnus/Minimus, Transmutate, Knock Out, Nickel, Lightbright, and Thunderclash.
• Starscream was going to have a redemption arc, but it got shot down.
• The perfect Autobot would have a fire truck alt mode and an Autobot insignia as a face. Also, Mae thinks Optimus should be a fire truck (me too  ).
• Unicron and humans were never going to be in this show to begin with.
• Skullcrusher is a girl.

Very Interesting, I was fine with the gender-switching to girls except for Two. Those being, this Jazz and Skywarp. Jazz because it has always been how the characters been and I don't think it would have worked out the way they wanted. Skywarp I have always viewed as a bro character with Thundercracker. Luckily, Jazz was left on the cutting room floor and Skywarp colored seeker appeared for 20 seconds.

I wish Thunderclash appeared  , i agree, He is the perfect Autobot

Edit: Reading the full interview revealed he is basically the same kind of writer that are a dime a dozen in Hollywood nowadays. I liked the fan service but I'm glad some were in the room knocking down some of the ideas. I mean, what did I expect, she was a Tumblr fanfic writer.

I could actually see a female jazz being kinda cool if done right, though it would just never sit right with me i dont think. Mostly because Jazz is my favorite transformer.

Im all in for a gender swap on characters that have barely character at all like novastorm and acidstorm it adds to their generic con they had before, but swap a major character that has alot of previously established background then thats when i have a problem

We're reaching levels of cringe that shouldn't be possible. This is giving me flashbacks to that horrible interview with Roberts after LL was canceled / ended.

Cyberverse was and is a lazy effort created by no-talents. This interview does nothing but reaffirm what I already knew.

 

Should probably put out there that writers have a lot of ideas and the directors, show runners etc often have to cut down the really ambitious stuff or just shot down ideas that wont fit into the show. On top of that they have an additional filter of the client making toys of potentially anything so there is an extra level of scrutiny. So while I've not read the interview i'd just treat everything as a cool idea one person had that didn't go anywhere.

As opposed to face swapping and gender swapping as I am, I believe Transformers is one of the few franchises that, if done right, wouldn’t necessarily be bad.

Now, another G1 reboot? No.
A new original take like Movie Verse where they are pretty much name slaps already? Why not?

Otherwise go back to Tumblr and self quarantine.

So I'm glad I never wasted anymore more time with this show.

I'll be content when a real G1 show or Videogame releases again.

 

More of a Easter egg than a character appearance.

 

I would have killed to see Thunderclash appear, Lightbright too.

We need another season for all the bots that didnt appear that should have!

 

Not really no, I mean it's Tarn's design, but that's not Tarn, It's just a generic Decepticon grunt who shares his name.

I don't know man, that was pretty funny interview, he spent half of it talking about all the characters he regrets killing.
