If this is the last issue (until the virus situation is sorted), then it was an amazing issue: Spoiler Deathsaurus convinces the locals that Cliffjumper is an impersonating Bumblebee and that he killed that civilian that he burned last issue. Cliffjumper is on the run, but a local was accidentally trapped inside, and heard the whole story, and agrees to help him. Deathsaurus is burning the village, so Cliffjumper drives up a ramp, which causes the former to be impaled. Deathsaurus is comatose, and briefs Chromia and Prowl on the mission. A statue is built in memory of Cliffjumper. Highlights: I’m glad this story arc came out, and gave Cliffjumper some justice, and some well deserved spotlight.
This sounds really cool, and I like how it sets up Cliffjumper's recklessness once the war breaks out. Galaxies continues to impress with its side stories
Issue was fun but that impalement scene is one of the prettiest pages in this entire continuity. That is all.
You think the art team in the main book will get rid of Bumblebee's flying saucer alt-mode and start drawing him with the much more appropriate and cooler looking hover car mode Cliffjumper has.
I dug it. I feel like this title would have benefited more from having its issue count swapped with the Constructicons, but I get the team not wanting to focus four whole issues on Cliffjumper.
Which is better than the absolute nothing we got in these two issues. IDW1 portrayed Cliffjumper as the tough little Autobot he’s supposed to be. Here he’s a pathetic weakling. Sure he did take down Deathsaurus eventually but he got bashed around a lot first. IDW1 Cliffjumper wouldn’t take that. Being ignored, manipulated, insulted and compared to Bumblebee all the time is just degrading to him. He deserves more respect than being treated as “red Bumblebee”. And it was not fun to read. I didn’t care for the alien race at all and Deathsaurus was as generically evil as they get.
I grew up on Energon, so to me Cliffjumper is the wrong color and shape too... How hard is it to get green dunebuggy right? Jokes aside... I liked this issue. Neat to see what a Cliffjumper on the first steps to being Cliffjumper looks like.
No need to over spoil the comic like that. Even if its in spoiler tags. Dude it is depressing to read a fantastic comic and come online to see comments like this. I have a spoiler for you, you will never ever be happy with a Transformers comic.
Word. It's an origin story. And it's much better than the IDW 1.0 effort, which broke Cliffjumper's core character trait - being a feisty hellraiser who gets in over his head - by making him a genuine trained assassin. Cliffy's one of those characters who has never done better than he managed in the Sunbow cartoon. Every other appearance has seen him watered down into a generic small bot, or killed rather swiftly. IDW 1.0 gave him a good introduction in AHM, then proceeded to ruin the character by making him another Mary Sueish super-killer, then forgot about him until his death. This issue actually gives him some character development (he doesn't improve in anyone else's eyes, but he gains his own sense of identity) and sets him up for being sassier than ever.
we get it, you dont like these comics thing is though, that this is an origin story. up to this point in the continuity cliffjumper was a relative nobody, this is the turning point where he starts to become the tough little autobot that gets in over his head but also doesnt take shit laying down
Well, it looks like it's gonna be a long wait for the next few issues for this series and the main one, at least according to Amazon. Main Title: #20: 10th June (Transformers (2019-) #20 - Comics by comiXology) #21: 24th June (Transformers (2019-) #21 - Comics by comiXology) #22: 24th June (Transformers (2019-) #22 - Comics by comiXology) Galaxies: #7: 24th June (Transformers Galaxies #7 - Comics by comiXology) #8: 24th June (Transformers Galaxies #8 - Comics by comiXology) #9: 24th June (Transformers Galaxies #9 - Comics by comiXology) #10: 24th June (Transformers Galaxies #10 - Comics by comiXology) Note that these dates are subjected to change, if the virus situation escalates. It's a good thing this issue came out!
That little Probat said her wings will be "shrieved", what does this word mean? I take it as "shredded" ?
Nah, it wasn't. This two-issue story was funny, heart warming and had fun takes on characters. The IDW one was the anti-thesis of any of that. I am afraid you simply have bad taste.
I assume it means something of the sort because the only definition I could find is an archaic word for "sheriff."
