I’d rather G2 Sandstorm be a repaint of Blitzwing. This Sandstorm would be the same character as G1 Battle Gaia Sandstorm and also be characterised as being Shattered Glass Sandstorm.

Yeah, we have Siege Hotlink, Siege Skywarp and Earthrise Skywarp already, another black Seeker would be a bit much for the time being. I’d love to see Seeker Blackout as a Selects figure, but it should be a year or two away.

 

.... When the fiddle was ER Skywarp rumored? The only seeker rumors I heard was coneheads so far.

 

I believe his point was another Seeker who looks "an awful lot like Skywarp" (and actually looks a lot more like Skywarp than Blackout would) is actually being released, so saying they shouldn't do Blackout Starscream because he'll look like Skywarp isn't a valid excuse now.

 

I still would love to get an Action Master Repaint of Classics Starscream.

 

Selects Blackout from Seige/Earthrise Starscream when?

 

As was mentioned, the point is that a Skywarp look-similar is being released, so that's hardly an excuse not to put Blackout out as a Selects release at all. If that was a thing, we wouldn't have any Seeker releases aside from the original three or the conehead trio.

 

Thrust is getting a voyager release according to a leak from (I think) TRU Canada, and a there’s a two pack of seekers as well. Between more voyagers and the two pack, it’s very likely there will be an ER Skywarp within a year.

thats true, but they’re hardly going to only make Starscream and leave out the other two seekers, especially when so may fans have said they’d buy all three of the original squadron.

 

I like that color scheme, although my favorite unreleased version of that mold is the desert camo/tan one with the shark teeth. I would love if they used both of those in ER.

I would've loved this as a kid! G2 Starscream was my favorite Decepticon toy growing up other than G2 Megs, and to this day I prefer that grey-purple-red look for him. I've been trying to hold off buying any more CHUG Seekers, but if a G2-themed set shows up using either the Siege or Earthrise molds, I dunno if I could stop myself...

 

Oh shit...totally forgot that deco is a thing. Yeah! I want that too!

 

Nitpick: Transformers may casually ignore it, but in military aviation a "flight" is 3 to 6 craft while a "squadron" is 12 to 24 craft.

Oh definitely, we just started calling it the “Seeker Squadron” because of the sibilance and that it rolls off the tongue easier.

In headcanon, it’s always possible to say that cybertronian military culture considers 3 to be a squadron, despite earth’s militaries begging to differ.
