It's a figure with a few QC issues, not important (cracks on the wings or scratches barely visible on the back), the materials don't feel too sturdy like Black Mamba was, AoyiMech used worse materials in comparison, but it's perfect for displaying. On my instagram account I posted a lot of pictures.

Yes, is VERY huge and heavy. Yes, Black Apple Prime hahaha.

 

My pair of Golden Face Rippers arrived before my Chest/Knuckle upgrade set.
They feel really good in hand, the gold colouring will eventually be painted in the heated metal style, but it looks good for now.
Connection seems solid enough, definitely not as tight a fit as the swords though.

 

Anyone have any new info on where the new LED head (with a magnetic neck) is at with production/availability?

 

Nope.

 

Upgrade set arrived yesterday.
Pictured on BA Prime are the DOTM chest/ab pieces and the truly awesome knuckle dusters.
Plastic quality is superb, with one of the highlights being that sharp Autobot logo, lined cleanly with red.
The detail in the properly opposing (yuuusssss) knuckles is finally on point with their appearance in DOTM as they unfold out of Prime's hand/Mary Poppins' wrist compartments. May add some colour to these.
The DOTM chest/ab pieces take some maneuvering to get into place, but is very satisfying once acheived.
I also noticed in some of the "official" pics of these parts that the artist appears to have removed the firewall door bits, which I find unnecessary, as everything sits securely with plenty of space for the custom headlight arrangement.
The appearance of the figure with the upgrade parts installed really isn't as bad as some of the pics/detractors may make them seem imo, the chest parts are still as awkard as they've ever been.
In my eyes, these upgrade parts succeed in bringing further detail and play-ability to an already fantastic figure.
Excited to see if further mods by others on the thread can continue to push the innovations!

 

My set should arrive any day now. The USPS seems pretty bogged down in my area.

From your photos @Temenos88 , I still have reservations about the DotM abs making him look more tubby. I may just end up using the sternum out of the set (my set is without weapons).

 

I'm certain there could have been some more angle tweakage to the the pieces during the design phase that could have helped with this.
I think the squareness of the middle ab piece sitting right in that infamous highly fiddled-with and stared at area may have something to do with affecting the look as well.
That being said, I think I lean more towards overseeing some of the remaining particularities primarily because we don't have other options that have shown a better way to achieve them.
