I pried it apart with a spudger. It was difficult but i started from the underside at the ball joint and eventually got it to come apart.
Another excellent custom, groovy paint job (Pyro does have funky colours) very cool what you did with the ladder cannon with a good homage to the original, foot spurs were a must as my Hotspot relies on his ladder to keep him up half the time. I might have a go at the waist rotation mod on My Hotspot does it effect transformation?
Ty. No, the waist rotation doesnt affect transformation. However I would take extreme caution adding the waist rotation as it may weaken the combined mode. If you do it make sure the joint is strong. The ball joint I used will not hold up in combined mode. For me I didn't intend for it to be a torso so that didnt matter to me.
With waist rotation for small figures I generally just use a spare pin from various transformers I've broken down for customs, I then drill tight a hole through both sides maybe adding a bit more plastic on the other side if needed. While bigger heavier figures if there is space to hide it I put a small night and bolt through the waist with some washers between to create some friction like my Fort max figure
Where did the feet spurs come from? I just picked up a couple of extra Infernos to turn into Pyro and maybe Cab...havent decided since I already have Hosehead (non titanmaster). I am gonna try to convert the shoulder cannon on shapeways for the universe inferno and use on this one along with the 3rd party gatlin gun meant for TFPrime Optimus.
I used an inverted 1x3 slope lego brick with a 1x2 flat plate and glued that to a piece of styrene tube that is swallowing a screwed cylindrical joint. If you have an onslaught I mimicked what they gave him. A standard yellow lego brick matches color perfectly.
this is the chest piece Sparky chest plate for POTP Inferno by SteamShield on Shapeways and this is the head Sparky Head Voyager by SteamShield on Shapeways
