Does this help? The Magnus picture is at a slightly different angle but you can get an alright idea of size.

So, slightly taller than Astrotrain and slightly shorter than Magnus.

this earthrise line is the line that I have wanted since Beast Wars came out with their cartoon accuracy and poseabilty /articulation. I dont get the people saying G1 again, because this is the only line that has been G1 all other lines for the most part ( old seeker design is 100 percent spot on to g1 ) has been inspired by g1.

Loving everything I am seeing right now

My question is, can his chest hold both powermasters at once or just one at a time?

I'm glad every thread about new figures going forward is going to dissolve into people whining about the size.

We get it. Feel free to move on at anytime. It's not changing any time soon.

Funny enough I remember a time where people were saying they're willing to pay more if Hasbro increased the paint jobs, articulation, and having less hollow spaces. How times have changed.

People also begged for animation accuracy and scaling. At least, that’s what they wanted until they decided that G1 Astrotrain was massive, despite the fact that he was always portrayed as being the height of a seeker.

...but it's not whining? it's genuine criticism as to what people would like to see fixed. if the posts were just "man he looks like shit and is tiny" then I'd agree, but most posts that discuss the size of current leaders are at least vaguely constructive. it's a board where people talk about how they feel about new releases. you're gonna get critics.

I'm generally FINE with the recent leader sizes, because they come with extra stuff.

But Doubledealer is just a voyager-sized triple-changer (with a 4th ""mode"" where he launches the missile. Basically a fanmode. If that. It's basically a pose!)

I'll be totally honest, that does sting.
If he came with his Powermasters, instead of them being sold seperately, I think it'd be easier to swallow.

It still wouldn't be GREAT (Apeface and Snapdragon are voyager triple-changers too, and they come with their partners).

I think Doubledealer is going to shelfwarm HARD outside of the hardcore fanbase, because Karen can't justify spending however much more on a toy that is otherwise identical to the much-cheaper Snapdragon, sitting right next to him on the shelves, who has the same three modes, the same size, AND a partner.

    THIS. It's not a mode, it's a pose.

I agree with what your saying, but for what it's worth, if be pretty damn cheesed if Apeface and Snapdragon didn't come with their partners considering they form the heads in bot mode, and most of the head in Beast mode. that seems a little mandatory, unlike Doubledealer. I agree with your point, just not a fair comparison.

Umm....okay, quick question fellow TF fans? How in the purple h3ll are the people who are questioning "size" suddenly dismissed as whiners when it was John Warden and the rest of Hasbro who were marketing SCALE with the WFC:Trilogy line in the first place???

I mean due to this COVID-19 madness over a million people in the US alone are estimated to loose their jobs by the end of March and unfortunately the worse is still yet to come. Point being is that most of the people remaining with disposable cash won't be as quick to waste it on sub-par $50 Transformers that arguably aren't even worth $30!

I'm not sure if the quote above and the co-signers are real collectors with hobbies (like me) or Hasbro sycophants forcing unpopular opinions to shut up (as if that's changing any time soon..) in hopes that they'll get a pat on the head.... You're logic isn't what makes Hasbro the biggest toy company in the world and you are NOT discouraging me or anyone else's personal opinion, especially now since companies like Hasbro will need money wherever they can get it to recoup!!!! So it might be in their best interest to listen and be more consistent with quality especially when it comes to the more expensive lines and figures.

Since I am a MOSC/MISB/AFA style collector my only real complaint is the way he is posed in the packaging. Not seeing any hollow parts is a bonus for me. But not when he posed like he is George Reeves’ version of Superman.

So when it comes to price, I feel they have an explanation for that. Same with their NEW handling of their scale. And even if there isn’t all I can say is that I now less guilty for cancelling my preorder. :lol

    No, it's whining.

You've made your point. Nobody here is in a position to change anything, and continuing to whine about it on every page of every thread is just as obnoxious as the constant whining about repaints during Prime Wars.

And it's going to be just as effective.

Advertising it's compatibility with the other battle stations is a smart move. These ecosystems clearly move units, otherwise they'd have abandoned the inter-connectivity rather than expand on it.

Is base compatibility worth the price increase, though? Hoist comes with base compatibility. Should he be a voyager?

    My issue is that:
    • It's the same size as a voyager
    • It's got the same amount of modes as a voyager (so, no extra engineering required)
    • To complete the toy you have to buy a second item
    • Being able to connect to base parts is not a fourth mode
    • The missile does not contain $20 USD worth of plastic
I'm not denying it's a good Doubledealer, I just fail to see how it counts as a leader.
The missile probably does increase the cost a little (it's bigger than a gun, let's be real), but considering the missile doesn't do anything, it's a bitter pill to swallow.

Especially now that so many of us are losing our livelihoods due to Coronavirus. Our disposable income has become a whole lot less disposable.

how about we wait to actually see the toy out of box compared to other leaders before saying its nothing more than just a voyager. the individual that shared the image of astrotrain, doubledealer and galaxy prime in box even admitted that the image of primes box was at a slight angle which can and will throw off size perspective

He looks quite a bit wider than Astrotrain. Hard for me to tell with Magnus. I'm sure someone much smarter than me could do a size comparison using his cassette-holding chest compared to Soundwave's.

I refuse to argue with anyone regarding old leader class vs new leader class because I feel it's just a matter of preference, and no amount of arguing with one another will fix it. I will say that I enjoy the WFC scale more due to the solid feel they have. Sure, my CW Magnus is taller, but he also feels thin & one wrong move away from snapping. I would rather have a bulky shorter Doubledealer than a lighter taller one. Obviously just my preference though, because scale isn't as important to me as it is to some people.
