Handsome, sure. But can you really envision Hasbro releasing a new Metroplex simply for the sake of some ramp connectors and being, what, an inch shorter?

 

Am I the only one here who would be perfectly fine with Nightbeat and Minerva sharing a mold which looked like Minerva's show model with the only change being the headsculpt for Nightbeat? I think it would be kind of neat to have a female Nightbeat.

 

if the guy in charge wants to take a crack at him and the other higher ups think it'll sell enough units, then yes.

also its not just about the interconectivity or size, there is plenty to improve on from t30 metroplex and options are good.

personally i think id rather have grandus*, monstructor, someone new or even a fort max redo in 2021 and have metroplex in 2022 but if its the other way around then thats cool too.

titan class doesnt have to appeal to everybody there will be off years where some people will be upset and others will be overjoyed, for instance, every release until omega didnt really excite me all that much (besides trypticon, but i didnt think he looked good with t30 metroplex so i passed on em too) so all that really matters is what the guys at the top want to do and what they think will meet or succeed the amout of units they want sold or whatever, like it or not warden seems kinda jazzed about doing metroplex again so its probably gonna happen at somepoint in the near future

*i think grandus would work better as leader class based on his size in his magazine depiction of him but if hastak want to make him a titan then im sure it'd be just fine, also that'd make some board members here pretty happy too i reckon

Be thicker, more accurate to the original, have a satisfying city mode with towers, connect to the current and yet to come baseformers etc. Not to mention be available.
I am a huge GeeWunner and I know not everyone is - but from my standpoint virtually NOTHING pre-WFC is off the table for being made again. It's just not good enough for me by WFC standards, sentimentality aside.

 

Awesome as that would since I'd love to see them do BWII Gigastorm from TR Trypticon I don't think it's very likely given that Hasbro's REALLY pushing for familiarity and iconic imagery for the brand in general not just in Generations and sad as this sounds none of them are that close to iconic status as the ones Hasbro's given us so far. Sure Takara can always do them but even then they're not really doing special exclusive releases for their own market much anymore in recent years. What doesn't help that Titans cost a lot to make and buy so we'd be lucky enough to see at least Metrotitan be made.

I lean towards no new Metroplex, but the 2 reasons I could see for them to redo him is:

Its been quite a few years since Metroplex was released.

Also Trypticon and Metroplex Titans aren’t the same height. A new Metroplex could remedy that.

I’m pulling for a Titan set of G1 Dinobots.

 

While I still love my T30 Metro, I wouldn't mind an updated version. The lack of ankle rockers and the fact that he's too big when compaired to Trypticon are big negatives. Would love to see something that looked more like Utopia.

Hm. That's a pretty good point.

I would love this, personally. They couldn't do all of the Dinos though as big as they are, but 3-4 of them at the Titan price point would be perfect.

 

Yeah it would probably have to be “g1 with knees and elbows” but as long as the sculpts are top notch, I would be okay with that.

This is the only way they would legitimize a new Metroplex: By making him the same size as Trypticon.
But I'm still rooting for Overlord, TidalWave and the Dweller.

You're not the only one, but you might be the one of about two, given I'm in that Foxhole with you. But at the same time, I do prefer less feminine designs for Fembots and Cons because it lends itself better to the transformation (Most times: Motorcycles, Copters, Jets, Spiders etc seem to do just fine, if engineered well), but the problems that plague Siege Chromia and others of her kind turn me off the overall feminine design for a lot of Alt. mods. Given Minerva/Nightbeat are a car, well, then I'd lean more towards it being a Nightbeat into a Minerva deal. But hey, if they go with you're idea, then I'm certainly not saying no. Love the idea of having both characters on my shelf, and Nightbeats Gender? Never been something I considered integral to the character.

I literally just got the Legends Metroplex last year (For an Aftermarket price of way too many Dollary-Doos too), but I don't mind the idea of getting a newer one, either. As cool as it is to have him, the lack of Ankle Rockers and the overall weakness of his leg joints versus his weight don't lead to a lot of amazing posing options (Not that a City Former is doing backflips or anything... nor should they, if we want to preserve the planet). So, I'm down for a new one too. Making him a bit shorter will also make him a little bit easier to fit him on my shelves and make Fort Max/Scorponok seem so much more amazing and large (Not to mention Unicron...)

 

Well I mean this War for Cybertron line is a soft reboot for the Transformers toyline.

We’re getting a new Skylynx, so getting a new Metroplex in this line, wouldn’t be shocking

Overlord and TidalWave would definitely work better in the commander class

 

I would be shocked. I honestly can't see them ever redoing a titan. Devastator maybe.

 

Why, by next year he’ll be about 8 years old. If MP Prime got redone, why not Metroplex?
