The more I think about it, the more I think this one will end up being my MP Arcee. I had high hopes for TT...and while I think they pretty much nailed the car mode, the bot mode shortcomings are a bit much. Plus, I have major concerns about her QC and potential engineering issues after the last few G1 MP releases. So, there’s no way I’m preordering her first release anyway even if they do make some aesthetic improvements between now and then. Even though I think Azalea’s car mode leaves a little to be desired, I love her bot mode. Plus, she’s a known quantity in the design/QC department.

 

This is the thread for all versions of the mold, except the "protoform" version for some reason. That one got it's own thread (I'm torn between that triggering my OCD but at the same time I'm glad because it's an ugly repaint and I can just enjoy this thread with the ugly one being sequestered to its own place).

So far the versions are the dark one (like the assassin version or something that was a con exclusive), the regular, the green paradron, and the "ox." Oh right, and the ugly one from that other thread.

 

Call me weird but I kinda like that ugly version lol, that's the one that made me decide I want some version of this mold no matter the paintjob

 

She is pretty cool. If no colours are bad I’d go with that. It’s one of the more unique decos.

 

Will it be more expensive than the regular ones? Cuz if it's the same price or cheaper then

Well, no. Unless you mean the normal price is $130, the standard mass releases was $90 if I remember correctly, but the con releases was always marked up to $130, that's how much I paid, not through the secondary market, but from the store.

 

I paid 90 for Stealth Azalea and not a cent more the day she went up for order. Zinnia is still listed for $91.

No idea why other vendors put em both over 100, import cost or acquisition cost or something I suppose.

 

The $130 price was CDN not USD. I think he confused the two.

Ordered one from Baba for $95 off eBay. The fear of missing out was strong and I wasn’t feeling the face or the colors on the Ox repaint. He still has a few left.

 

Normally, I don’t use autobot stickers on third party toys, but since my hatred for idw grew, I decided to steal optimus’ sticker and paste it on azalea  

 

Me too! It's a weird quirky deco, and I like that MMC's bothering to do it. I doubt Takara ever will and FT can't even be bothered with a Paradron version. MMC getting all three out is nice, and I like the mold.

 

Could someone who has both Azalea v.1 & Zinnia shoot some face comparison pics? I can't seem to find any good references, and can't really see what the fuss is about with the remolding.

 

Zinnia's faces are more humanoid while the v1s are more anime.
