Finally got around to opening this nobody.

    IMG_20200314_152400.jpg

    He's ok.

I've been doing panic buying right. Mainly condoms, chocolate and Earthrise figures. Fuck big roll, arsewipes aplenty thanks to Mrs Thing regularly buying out Costco as a hedge against The End every couple of months anyway. And I can live in a fort of Bin Bag Boxes when the balloon does go up. All that will see me through the end of Civilisation and beyond. If the Post Vans keep running............

First one to start trying to BBQ your neighbours is a big girls blouse.

Had an amazing yet gutting find today.

Around 3 or 4 years ago, my 2nd son lost the head to my Gen 30 Brainstorm - hadn't been seen since, until today!

I was in the mother-in-law's garage looking for playmats for the kids when I pass my eldest son a rolled up camping mat. He then said "why is there a Transformer in there?". Yep, Brainstorm's head.
Seems as though my other lad must have shoved it in there prior to moving some new camping gear to the mum-in-law's for storage.

Gutting because I sold the body to ol' Brainy only a few months ago.

SIEGE Omega Supreme Tracks Upgrade Kit from Nonnef Productions

I thought I'd need those but it would honestly be easier and more useful to buy multiple modulators and ramps, because that still works out smaller and gives more of a varied city look.

As it is two giant metal shelves are gonna be taken up by connected Omega/Sky Lynx/Ironworks/Prime/Hoist and Scorponok/Astrotrain/Airwave/Whoever else!

Actually, apart from the modulators and Double Dealer, who else would be a potential candidate for Con city-adding? We're due a Con commander, surely, as one instance?

Judging by my local Sainsbury’s, in Cornwall it seems that people plan to spend isolation eating Weetabix and rice, drinking tea and sitting on the bog.

Finally (!) got the 35th anniversary print I picked up from Andrew Griffith at TFN in 2019 properly framed and up on the wall in the family room.

    Very pleased :D

You know you’ve watched too much Futurama when you see this,

    and automatically add this
    3F70CC9B-7AF2-4F1F-967F-9AB8CAAD1C6C.jpeg
Nearly burst out laughing when I saw a balloon in a shop window with the top picture text on today.

Also picked up SS Clunker Bee today (even though I said I wouldn’t :throw )
Very pleased with him, a vast improvement on the 2007 one I have.

now I’m going to get Barricade after pay day. Hope he’s better than the DOTM one that came with a mech tech rake...

Mrs O picked this fella up for me today. Looks great and all but I have zero interest in the character - I got him because I thought he'd make a killer base for a custom.

I'm gathering figures so I can do a whole bunch of customs from a linked universe. Only waiting on one more body and I can crack on...

Yup, while they look amazing the vast majority of the recent McF figures I just have no attachment to. If it's from recent comics and isn't a 'classic' design I won't touch it, cool as they clearly are. It seems the upcoming 'leak' McFs are gonna be the same in the main.

I do wonder how long they'll be able to get away with that, since it's not like comics sell in any great numbers these days and these go to big box stores. Will the look be enough? I'd suspect you can't pull that trick too many times.

Seems like my decision to snag the Hulk '82 show bible was a wise one, as the fan site I got it from has gone kaput. Ditto the sister site for Spider-Man '81, though there was nothing worth having there. I went and took as many model sheet photos from the Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends fan site and fb groups as I can. Gotta sort through them and group them by episode.

In the meantime, I managed to snag the model sheets for Pryde Of The X-men by the late, great Russ Heath into the bargain. Those are already up: Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive: MP 4000: Specials, pilots, miniseries and movies

I've got the Amazing Friends page set up, so the links will go live once I've created the pdfs: Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive: MP 6000 Spider-man And His Amazing Friends 1981 - 1983 (Marvel Productions)

Self isolation sucks, thank goodness when I started to fee better after a few days I realised I had symptoms that identified what I had as a bad cold/flu rather than Corona.

theatre production of Avenue Q is going ahead in a couple of weeks at any rate so just going to focus on staying well and hoping that a 200 capacity theatre isn’t classed as a large gathering

(hopefully will get okay to go ahead and work from home and spend as little time walking through old people who don’t cover their mouths when they cough or other people who will be travelling up to Scotland for a trade show that is still going ahead)
who would work for commander con, thunderwing seems a bit obvious to me. I’d love a big Lugnut for Commander class (Would say Tidal Wave but he should totally be the next titan after they do Scorponok)

Zavvi are on option for ER orders (not who I'd recommend, they're still waiting on Spinister FFS, but an option if you're really stuck)

Sign me up for a Commander Lugnut too, it would be GLORIOUS! RTS-style "realistic"-ish flying fortress still though, yeah?(Though a Titan Lugnut Supreme would also intrigue me!)
Honestly, I'd settle for a Commander Tidal Wave.
I know it's already Autobot-heavy but a Commander Galaxy Shuttle would also tickle my fancy, however I'd sure dig either a Make-Skystalker-the-name-and-give-a-robot-mode-to-the-Decepticon-Micromaster-Space-Shuttle or Commander Class Thunder Arrow (with it's own robot mode) w/Micromaster Skystalker to balance the forces.

Welp, with the prospect of much delay to TFs, thank you, Whoops(-ing Cough), Apocalypse!, I've taken the punt on a Shapeways splurge for my OS POTP Dinos!
Big ups to @fakebusker83 for adding a requested material for me to take a swing at his Swoop Missiles with, plus a proper gun for Snarl, and, why not, @Trentulas' handgun for Swoop that'll just need a spot of ergonomics to pad out the delivery cost per item value (I don't mind uniform swords, or Slag N' Sludge sharing a similarified design blaster, especially after a bit of appropriate recolouring, but our resident Bombardier and Dersert Warrior deserve a bit more differentiation - my Clever Girl Gang can have some ranged weaponry back)!
