Unfortunately I suspect they might be Retailer samples, as Liam got preview voyagers before Kapow had 'em in stock. Also Hoist is glaringly omitted from that trio, YIKES! Fings crossed nonetheless!

    Got my wish...
    Screen Shot 2020-03-12 at 12.17.44.png
...Picard Episode 8 is also a corker!
Fings also crossed this doesn't turn Monkey's Paw on me and the last two episodes of the Season at least have him as an "And..."!
This and the last episode really show up how a tighter Showrunner could have improved things, a lot of the things Chabon drops in them are well explained but there's been no hint of them whatsoever in prior episodes plus there's the odd glaring bit that seems almost like a mid-series retcon.
Our "Captain" Cristóbal Rios is suddenly revealed to have personal history directly tied to the Conspiracy itself, where we haven't had the merest hint of it before!
A better hand on the tiller would've totally seeded that earlier in the build-up of the show, and I can see how they could have really played up his Han Solo-ness by using his guilt and secret history to make us doubt him and wonder in he was the Mole for Oh to distract from Agnes.
Admiral Oh turns out to be Romulan/Vulcan and a leading member of the Zhat Vash, which, uh, somehwhat contradicts the Tal Shi'ar twins referring to her as an "ally" that they need to keep on-side in an earlier episode, which is not how "allies" work - if they're on the same team they are not "allies" they are associates, comrades, teammates. They are your team, and in Oh's case apparently your Superior, you berks!
The New Crew come alive with Chabon's writing though, hot damn, these guys are actual characters! The whole Rios' various E(X)H's are badly-edited copies/alter egos that display contrary aspects of his personality and/or subconscious has been sorely under-utilised, probably because it takes a writer of Chabon's capacity to make a fun comedic element also work dramatically ("Ian" the Emergency Engineering Hologram is my new favourite, a good bad Scottish impersonation is a lovely nod, and gives Rafi her funniest retort thus far). More bits like this is what Picard needs!
It's a marked improvement but still a bit of a baggy, uneven first season, which isn't great considering they've had Disco to practice this, and they've still started out ropey and continue shedding lead creatives like dandruff!
    Chabon will indeed be missed.

Specifically, it's Silverbolt that's down with the sickness. My MIB Magnaboss has held up quite well, but I'll never combine him again (I do have an incomplete MB that'll forever be in combined mode). It's the pegs on Silverbolts wings that worry me most.

Wondrous figure though, I'd love an update someday.

Oh yeah I get that but if they're getting samples then it means Hasbro UK at least has them.

Can't say its my favourite Beat Wars figure, but I do appreciate the effort made to make a beast combiner - although I like Predacus better.

An update (that isn't a Botcon sticker pack) would definitely pique my interest.

Schools in the Republic just closed, goodness this is quite the situation. I expect De Valera will rise from the grave to protest Corvid-19’s clear violation of Ireland’s neutrality! Hopefully, he’ll insist that Northern Ireland get off school too. For fairness, of course.

I can’t like things multiple times so I’ll just reply, phenomenal game, pushing the absolute limit of what the PS1 could do, with an absolutely gorgeous soundtrack, would buy port or remaster in a heartbeat

I have one word for anyone needing hand sanitizer but unable to get any - VODKA. Does the job AND cheers you up!

Got a bundle of Marvel Legends BAF parts from @Siege Fan today and a Wendigo noggin from @bcm77 t’other day so I’m lining my ducks up to get ready to make a batch of custom action figures. Just need to track down a few more bits first.

Solved my comics problem by absolutely gutting the amount of comics I buy, dropping a shitload of titles and being totally ruthless with my backlog. It was fucking painful, but I’m down to around 12 titles a month now and have about 200 back issues to get. Thanks to eBay I’ve made a dent in it but there’s still a hefty chunk left.

You’ll note that the only Marvel ongoing I’m now getting is Immortal Hulk and I’m getting zero DC, aside from finishing off The Batman’s Grave and Jimmy Olsen (which is hilarious). Dropped all Valiant titles apart from the upcoming new X-0 Manowar too.

    It really is painful.

I have just discovered NECA are doing variants of Bebop and Rocksteady in bunny costumes as exclusives for a couple of Loot Crates.....giving White Rabbit a couple of "enforcers" for her gang is very tempting although Turtles as a franchise is another rabbit hole I don't really need to hop down so it depends on pricing.

    @Ottertron
Glad the Wendigo head arrived OK, looking forward to see what customs you come up with!

Ditto, as we had those for a long time (well, the '86 releases with the grid packaging). Managed to pick up the Metrodome DVD of the movie for less than £3 lately and watched the unrestored UK version on there, good times. Rented the Rebirth one. Never had Revenge Of Bruticus/Dinobot Island but often saw it on the shelves.

If it still works, the Action Force one should be good for a laugh. Take the GI Joe cartoon and add selective English-accented overdubs and think us kids won't notice. o_O

I'm still a bit dischuffed nobody bothered to make a "Sparkdrinker" battle axe/shovel-&-buzzsaw weapon/attachment for T30 Metro. *Sigh*

    EDIT:
ARGH, DAMMIT! Just realised that's probably how they get me to buy the Next 'Plex Do-Over, the canny buggers! :p

Is it not just Bebop? I honestly don't know what I'll do with mine.

I’ve got Moon Knight - Mister Knight - a new version of Annihilus and several Micronauts characters lined up. Just waiting on some deliveries and there’s a couple more ML parts to track down.

Yes, so much better, characters with actual character and plot moving forwards!
I did think that Agnes going from 'I'm suicidal and synthetics are the omen to hell' to 'you're the bestest droid ever and I'm not going to kill you' was a bit abrupt.

You should assume everything is going to be virtual for the next six months. Investments in travels and events have to be done ahead of time, and even if we get the greenlight in May or June, it will be too close to events in July or August.

It mostly depends on the financial arrangements/contracts the event organisers have. In most cases the earlier they cancel the less cost they incur, thats whay we have seen some things in August already go. I mean for one if I were Cullen at his age im not looking to be coming if theres any virus still around! So I suspect we get somethign soon or its goign to go to the wire.
