Speaking of robots at Target, Vadnais Heights Target had a ton of ER micromasters from both sets, as well as SS Scavenger and SS Shockwave.
Anybody interested in the Collector’s Club Exclusive Overrun (Runabout) and Runamuck? Obviously I’m gonna wait for the Earthrise versions, but maybe someone is a completist? Ebay sold prices are around a hundred for the pair, but I’m just asking $80.
What, my robots aren’t good enough for you???? In all seriousness, I don’t believe so. Sold most of those a couple years back. Sadly none of the Botcon sets either. Which sucks because I still want Clench and Devcon.
Rats! All these years later I'm still looking for the CW Impactor and Bluestreak. Was hoping WfC getting to those guys officially would drive them back out on the market.
Dunno if anyone is still looking for the WalMart starscream reissue, but he's $30 on their site right now https://www.walmart.com/ip/Transfor...-def-170c501e327541&athancid=null&athena=true
Even if the materials dictate the cost, it's hard to justify $30 for a reissue when you can get the Earthrise version of the same. And sure, it's not a "perfect" G1 replica, and there's something to be said about the originals...but the more they stick to these G1 updates the harder it's going to be for people to justify the reissue prices.
I still can't decide if I want to replace T30 Springer with this one. I've seen him a few times but still don't know if I want a More G1-esque figure. Also, Cottage Grove Target and Walmart have nothing Earthrise yet - still just Siege and some of the new Cyberverse multipacks. Gonna try to check out Hastings soon, as they're usually a treasure trove of some of the harder to find figures.
Buy the new one and fiddle with both for a while? I’m totally in the same boat, as far as not doubling up on characters. But if you’re on the fence, I’d say don’t miss out on this one
Well, he's definitely the more 'g1-accurate' one, but if that doesn't matter, he's also the one with less kibble and a more elegant transformation. I think his modes look better, too, though I liked the T30 one a lot (and still have both him and Sandstorm).
Dragon Dice - Amazons (reprint) Dunno if anyone here is into dragon dice, but considering we're all a bunch of robot-loving nerds, I'm sure there's some tabletop loving nerds as well. Their most recent kickstarter is closing out, and it's a great chance to get a ton of cool stuff (they're just about to hit the last stretch goal, so you get a fair amount of free things if you back).
I used to have promo Dragon Dice from GenCon 95 (?). I think I sold them a while back, and I never played the game.
The two Springers look VERY different, and I find the new one very divisive for buyers. If you weren't wow'd by it in package, or by watching reviews, playing with it probably won't change how you feel. Just my two cents. For me, they fit into two very different displays, but I prefer T30 by a mile.
Cedar Cliff got a few more things in that could draw interest: - Siege Cracker/Screamer in a 2-pack for $20. - SS Bonecrusher - $10 - SS Sideswipe - $5 - SS Long Haul - $20 - Siege Mirage - $15 - Classics Dinobot - $10 (I bought that one)
