Nice. I remember getting quite a few Transformers at Ames. Because 1980's toys had incredible box art. The box art itself is part of the nostalgia of growing up with 80's toys. 80's toy packages were incredible. 90's were OK. Eveything after that is just plain meh.
Generations Metroplex was my Holy Grail. I've accepted the fact that I will never get my hands on a MIB version at a reasonable price so now its the new Seacons.
Studio series ironhide. He’s literally the only lad I need to complete my 07 cast. I had a dream I saw him at retail again ffs hope he shows up one day.
Well mine is my reissue fort max and my g1 boxed Omega Supreme but my box has some damage as well my g1 scorponok that I'm missing some parts. I also would say my shockwave
They'll re-release him with his DOTM guns no doubt. Not sure if that means they'll cut his canons to give him the big guns, would hope not but then again Sentinel is only coming with his double bladed sword.
Cybertron/Galaxy Force Optimus. I got the Siege version to fill the hole, and it's a cool figure, but I'd still like to have the original. And last year I scored Cybertron/Galaxy Force Megatron from my local toyshop, but they look silly together since Leader Megs absolutely dwarfs "Leader" Galaxy Prime. *sigh* What leader class used to be. I remember reading an old customer review when looking up Cybetron/Galaxy Force Prime online, and they complained about it being too expensive at 40 dollars. Lol! The current version is literally smaller, doesn't have electronics, and doesn't combine with anything, and regular retail price is more expensive than what the original one was. I wonder what that person would say now.
Probably mp10. or mp Grimlock. and for something that doesn´t exist, An omega supreme that transforms into the ark.
G1 Black Zarak, if you look directly at one it crumbles into gold plastic dust. Why? Because I collect G1 animal based Transformers and (aside from Sixknight and Greatshot) I've got them all. Also he's gold and black and looks awesome. Having said that, a repaint of the Earthrise figure which doesn't crumble into dust and tears would do the job.
The only thing i don't have, which i regret passing on, is Animated Voyager Thundercracker. When those test shots slipped out of the factory, i figured if Hasbro didn't put it into production, Takara would. How wrong can you be?
G1 Deathsaurus, no contest. The day I get a complete Deathsaurus is the day I hang up my collecting boots and call it quits. Not getting any better than that.
Is the car mode of GF Megatron supposed to be an homage to the Future GPX Cyber Formula Zero designs? Anyway, to the OP, depends how you define 'grail' but I would like to see a complete JP Headmasters cast and a Complete Super God Masterforce cast happen. A G1 Metroplex. I wanted that thing so bad when I was younger. I still think it has the best city mode of every version I've seen since, official or 3rd party. And I don't think anyone has really nailed Computron (IMO) yet (not quite the same as 'grail', I'm guessing, but I'm throwing it in regardless). Also, this isn't quite TF directly, but it's TF related... sooooo... I'd love a Diaclone Machine Dragon. An original in mint/complete condition (yeah, right), a reissue, or an updated version that keeps all the charm of the original. But preferably an original/reissue.
I love this thread. Everyone's definition of a grail differs and it's fun to see how. Personally I think I only have one grail currently in that difficult to obtain realm. That would be a mint complete Liokaiser. Of course handling him would be tough with Killbison's GPS. Honorable mention would Beast Wars Neo Elphaorpha.
