As far as I know, there's no law against BUYING counterfeit items, only against manufacturing counterfeit items, or selling them as genuine. And these manufacturers are in China, so...
at this exact moment, as I read this thread, I was just playing emulated SNES games and am wearing a replica Rolex, so if the cops are coming for me, they'll have a lot more than just MP-44 to take me down with
technically I believe generics do reverse engineer their medications as the process used to create a drug is still proprietary even when the patent expires. There’s a huge scandal about this actually, since generic drugs just get to match the end result components, but the process by which they are made is actually important to their effectiveness. Look it up if you want to scare the shit out of yourself...
it gets freakier than that... generic producers have been caught crushing up brand names for use in their FDA tests... but we’re way off topic. Something something Optimus Prime.
Sorry, that was a drive-by post in between doing other things so I didn't really express my thoughts very well. I don't consider it right but I also don't consider it particularly wrong either. I wasn't going to ever buy the original so Takara is losing nothing by me buying the KO, but honestly, even if that weren't the case, I wouldn't really care because I just don't believe that little old me buying a KO is enough to destroy any producer of original content. My point was that, if one feels it's immoral because it cheats the creators or whatever, then a high price is not justification. If buying a KO is immoral for a low priced figure, it's still immoral for a high price figure. By making an exception, those who demonize KOs are completely undermining their position. My post has likes (even though I think the way I wrote it came out as the opposite of what I really meant) and replies which suggests that at least a few people care, including you since you wouldn't have wasted your time saying anything if you really didn't care.
This darkened corner of tfw is for us, those fallen from grace. The lost minions from Satan's cavalry, the hellbound and unloved. Let us have our incrementally improved toys so that we can at least say...I was happy.
So I'm kind of new to this and have never pre-ordered from Show Z Store before, does anyone know if I have to have Prime paid off before the release date or will they let me know when he's out so I can pay the remaining balance then? (Also, has anyone had to change their address in Show Z Store before? I'm going to move into a new place before he ships but I was too excited to hold off on the pre-order!)
They send you an email when payment is due and you then have 2 weeks to pay the balance. If you don't pay it you lose your pre-order. Not too sure on the address front - I'm likely to be in the same position with some of my earlier pre-orders. I've since changed my delivery address to be my work address though.
Usually, if you have a figure paid off, you're moved up in the queue. Also, address changes are fairly easy as well.
Done. After some poor experiences with recent official MPs, I’m gonna give this one a try. At $89, I’d be doing myself a disservice not giving this a chance.
am I the only one who thinks TE01 has better backpack?. I'm really interested in this KO but I have mixed feelings, I already have the TE01 and I don't know what to do.
well i never said they succeeded hahaha. i think somewhere along the way the engineeers were overruled by the artistic designers or the managers. that's all i'll say there....or simply bad incoming QC inspection and picking suspect modling/tooling vendors. could be one, both or the other. eh yeah. TE has a way better more steamlined overall proportions. MP-44 is good with articulation and certian scultpings IMO.
I definitely agree but I want the MP KO for the posing dynamism that TE lacks. I don't plan on selling ANY of my MPOPs (MP10, MS, TE, MP44 KO, MPM4 KO, GT OP-EX, FansHobby Nemesis Prime) ... they all have something cool to love about them.
