That's what I mean when I say they don't look like they're from the same line. That c-clip is larger than many of the detailed bespoke parts on the smaller figure, so it's a very odd choice. If I were an alien fan, I'd be very disappointed. I know it's a brick build, but mega has a reputation of making things that don't necessarily look quite so brick-built, like the large Master Chief. If the queen had that level of care and design, I'm sure it would look incredible. But instead, it largely looks like something one of us built out of random spare parts.

The “brick feature” is what allows Mega to have some of the licenses it does at all, since the licensing for building block toys is independent of action figures. Without it, you wouldn’t have much of what those of you that care about the figures actually want because they’d potentially overlap with other licenses. I think that’s also tied into how Pokémon are all brick-built, as were their predecessors whose... name I’m totally blanking on.

 

Indeed. What we should be hoping for is Mega regaining momentum and obtaining more competitive licenses. I still want tiny Ghostbusters for my Ectotron.

I finally found the series with Predator at Walmart. Picked up a Predator and Claptrap.

Also, my first time seeing Crystal Creatures Series 1 and Breakout Beasts Series 4 in person. They were at Cracker Barrel of all places. They were also $14.99 a piece.

I wonder what possessed Mega to sculpt in all of the extra ridges into the top of the Xeno head. I mean, I find it hilarious because my brain never made it past twelve but surely that's not what their intent was.

Skeletor has three-toed feet that look nothing like the ones Predator uses. Halo’s Brutes use those feet, which probably explains the poor scale of the Predator figure.
