I'm expecting a Rodimus to be made similar to Earthrise Prime, that is a voyager sized robot with a trailer that opens and connects to the Rampiverse.
The big gun will probably go on his back like primes tower thing does now too.

I’m not sure that I would personally be up for buying another Metroplex, but I could definitely see Hasbro making a shorter, blockier version that is more G1 accurate and scales better with Trypticon.

I can’t see Overlord ever being produced as a Titan. With the current design philosophy being to keep characters in relative scale as much as possible, that would seemingly exclude him since he has never been portrayed as being that size (regardless of the size of the G1 toy). Tidal Wave does seem like a character that would make sense in Titan or Commander scale, though I have no idea if Hasbro would see him as a viable option for reasons already discussed in this thread.

And give us a Deluxe Scamper too. Maybe a retool of G2 Sideswipe.

Sideswipe makes a good base (shameless plug):

I would like a new Scamper to be a Weaponizer, maybe with his tank buddy. Two small Deluxes packed at the Voyager pricepoint would be nice, if one weren't actually included with Metroplex.

Why in the world would Overlord ever be a Titan?

I'm hoping for this with the same style hands and The Matrix.

So if there are three remaining Deluxes,One Voyager and One Leader left for Earthrise I'm betting my money that it'll be this

    Deluxes:

Bumblebee - It's only a matter of time before he shows up in WFC sooner or later.
Windblade - Given her current status in TF lore as a whole she's bound to get a new update figure herself/
Jazz - Like Bee it's only a matter of time.

    Voyager:

Galvatron. - I mean Catz said he saw a very famous Decepticon and Galvatron fits the bill here.

    Leader:

RID01 Optimus Prime/Car Rboots fire Convoy - Catz said this was an Autobot with a base mode from RID01, and recent leakings show an alternate Optimus Prime leader figure so RID Optimus fits the bill perfectly

Because some people think he was based on the HUGE G1 toy. At best he's a Commander class figure.

The reasoning for this is if you use official Japanese animation scales.

    But here's the underlying problem:

JG1 basically never compares with Sunbow scale and they upped the AG1 characters sizes. If you ignore that, you'd think JG1 characters should be much bigger.

Essentially: The median scales for AG1 characters are about 1:32 in robot mode and 1:48-1:60 in vehicle mode. The median scale for JG1 characters (including later uses of TFTM characters and Wheeljack) is around 1:48-1:60 in both modes if you follow the charts. (The media continues relative heights from Sunbow.)

Using Japanese scale charts is apples and oranges.

If you normalize them and look at commercials for some reference, Supermode Ginrai should be about Commander with basic Ginrai as a Voyager. And Leader is fine for Overlord and Dai Atlas. If you get sucked into the JG1 scale changes and try to contrast them with AG1 scale reference material, suddenly every JG1 character needs to be between WFC Leader and Titan, including carbots.

The Japanese reference material treats mass shifting down in robot mode as an animation error essentially whereas the American media relies on it... And despite what the Japanese reference material says, they're still mass shifting down in robot mode relative to Spike, Daniel, and Carly.

The other big issue is that Dinobots get scaled way down starting with TFTM to a point where PotP is already roughly WFC appropriate scale for post-TFTM Dinobots and S3 is otherwise full of animation errors. (I don't think Grimlock's downscale can be an error though because it's essentially needed to fit him in with the TFTM characters. There's no way for him to be consistently a bit bigger than Kup and Rodimus and Rodimus to be similar to Optimus in height unless there was a deliberate creative choice to shrink Grimlock between 1986 and 2005.)

If the 2021 series is post movie like it’s rumored to be, then I think Springer, Kup, and Cyclonus are likely candidates too.

I think we'll likely get another boxed set multi pack like the 30th boxed set. With a non-Battle damaged Springer and Magnus and a more detailed deco Arcee. As to what if anything else it includes, that depends on what options exist. Will there definitely be a new Rodimus or Hot Rod in time? Will they throw in a Titans Return Wheelie or Legends deco style TR Kup and Blurr>

But that's not a new figure. It's just a deco change that might be a con exclusve or Amazon exclusive or something on that order.

It would surprise me greatly to have so many TFTM inspired molds that are FAIRLY new and NOT redeco them for the 35th movie anniversary IN SOME FORM.

It may not be a boxed set. It might be a store exclusive line or Selects releases or whatever.

Regardless, I think essentially all the major TFTM characters who have had molds in the last 5 years will be available in 2021 because the anniversary creates an opportunity to people who are fans of the old movie but who don't follow Transformers toys regularly.

I would be all over that. Scamper was actually one of my fave G1 bots and one of the ones I actually played with the most, oddly enough. He was perfect as a small bot to mess around with. I even pulled him out of storage not long ago. I used to like moving his arms back to his sides in vehicle mode and pretend they were deployable rocket boosters moved into flight mode so he could fly, like Tracks. He gave off the vibe of a cool sinister James Bond car. Wouldn't mind seeing something like that sweet custom (excellent work!) with G2 Swipe or, heck, even a new deluxe Loudpedal as a base with modifications. (Please, let us get a new Tracks with Road Rage and Loudpedal Selects releases!). There are so many great bots we can get out of this toy trilogy.

I really don't see them doing that so close after they released that movie boxset a couple years ago. It would piss off too much of the G1 fandom. I can see them doing one but with entirely different characters though, as a sort of companion set, to what they already put out. That would make sense and piss off less people.

If they were worried about pissing off buyers of the last boxed set, I don't think they'd have made so many MUCH MORE vintage media accurate figures of the boxed set contents.

They also rereleased Titanium Rodimus Prime within a tight window of a redeco of Classics Hot Rod and two mainline CHUG Hot Rod and PotP Rodimus.

And they released the TFTM retool of Armada Unicron twice in five years.

Heck, Sideswipe has been released in three decos using the same mold within an 18 month window.

I don't see what you'd expect here. It will have been 5 years since the last TFTM boxed set. In terms of media accuracy, all 5 figures are obsolete and have been replaced with new mainline figures that are more media accurate.

Any "different characters" have also been in boxed sets since the 30th anniversary and subsequent boxed sets covered Blurr, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Kup, Arcee, Wreck-Gar, Hot Rod, Rodimus Prime, Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus, and Unicron.

Yeah. I'd like a Krannix too. Maybe you could get a Quintesson with a Sharkticon and Alicon.

But it would be a waste not to have SOME VERSION of Arcee, Kup, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Blurr, Hot Rod, Rodimus Prime, Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge on sale in 2021 and there's no way all of those will be back again in WFC3.

that box set was all outdated molds and not really intended for a wide release. platinum edition as a line was kind of a joke and it was meant more for asian markets if my memory is correct. very few of those releases saw a western retail release outside of being imported
