To be clear, I think Metroplex will get re-done soon. I just think a couple other things: 1. there have been too few Titan releases to pretend that we have enough information to say there is a pattern to the releases, so it's not worth saying whether or not we've had a repaint before. 2. As Hasbro gets more information about what fans want, they're allowed to (and even encouraged to!) change their patterns of character use, so if Hasbro believes they have different information about what fans want now vs four years ago, then they should make Black Zarak even if they didn't make Grand Max before. 3. You massively underestimate the amount of whining that will occur if another Unicron (at 20% of the price of the HasbLab one) comes out in the next two years.

 

I believe Scavenger and Bonecrusher got improved legs as well.

 

Aren't there third-party downscaled versions of those combiners? You could always buy those.

Is there a bigger lock in the KO market* for an unannounced product besides a downscaled PotP Predaking? It seems like Devastator is moving pretty well . . .

*I am not here for a debate about whether downscaling is somehow not a KO or anything entirely stupid like that

Both Devy and FortMax got SDCC releases. It's not out of the realm of possibility they'd sell Black Zarack as a con exclusive and offer his Weaponizer partner as a Selects figure.

 

not sure, but it did take a few years for them to do devastator. i thing there was rumor of a downscaled mmc feral rex around the time downscaled devastator was first shown off, but as of yet it hasnt materialized outside of that one toy show

 

Okay, fine, go ahead. Let me prompt you: "It's not a KO if ..."

Plausible, although one wonders if Scorponok would be ready before SDCC (Omega wasn't, and I think Predaking was August, too, but I'm old and forgetful). I still don't understand why we don't have actual big ticket Christmas items released (e.g. Black Zarak, a commander class figure, etc.).

Let's take into account some variance because of virus-related issues at factories (and throughout the supply chain), but in a normal world, I'd have bet on a Predaking by this coming winter at the latest (because the CW KOs are selling so well).

 

Anyone that buys a KO hates this country* and everything it stands for.

*countries may differ from nation to nation
