I am soooo NOT buying those. Paying more for the packaging than the actual figure.

 

I was wondering when we would see some transformers from this line. Too bad they’re just mini figurines and not something akin to Takara’s WST line

 

The problem, as you may already know, is that the vast majority of these "World's Smallest" toys actually are working versions of the things they represent. Transformers are an exception (due to Hasbro licensing restrictions).

I'd need to look at those pictures again, but it looked to me like every instance of "Actually works" was on generic, rather than TF-exclusive, packaging. It simply is what it is that TFs aren't allowed to actually be what they're supposed to be.

Picked some up myself, and for just 1 dollar more than the price for one at target, I got the whole wave!
What a country!!

 

Now, THOSE I'll actively look for, provided they don't look like s**t.

You and a lot of others, me included.
Of course, if that happened, it'd just be Prime, Bumblebee, and Starscream, and they'd just be reissues of the original Japanese line.

 

Were the figures in the Transformers section or some other place? 

 

Look at all of that extra plastic packaging. Such a terrible waste.

 

They have been found in Target's Easter section.

I'll stick to my limited WST lineup.

 

Had I known these were new I would have said something sooner. They work okay as wst heroes of cybertron or super7 or action masters.

Saw these at a locally owned toy shop some weeks ago. Was not impressed.

The whole point of this line is that they're working, accurate but miniaturized versions of vintage products. This fails every point of that. I'd have been happy with tiny vehicle modes in replica packaging but these leave me scratching my head.

I guess its something for hyper casual demo, you can put it on a shelf and say 'Its just like the one I had as a kid!' even though it isnt?

 

If they're not gonna transform I'd prefer they just put the alt mode in a mini version of the original packaging and maybe include a separate robot figure

 

The paint and molding seem a bit lousy. But they might suffice as citybot supplements.

 

At the very least, these things will probably be cool if you have a custom 1/6 scale action figure if yourself and it can hold the carded toy  

 

These are not the same as the Dollar Tree ones. The ones at Target are smaller, and have 3 POA (neck and arms). The Dollar Tree ones have no articulation in addition to being larger, and the sculpts are not the same, though they look generally similar. I think the Dollar Tree ones are not painted or quite as detailed as the Target ones.

 

Does anyone know where I can get a Starscream online? All I see in the Target Easter section is OP and BB.
