Ooof, those wheels on Smokey..

 

I agree about Smokescreen, and I am one of the few that liked the Cybertronian mode. This looks...cheap to me. I am glad some people love it, but it's a pass for me.

 

Yah, that's looking bad, but otherwise he looks beautiful.

I also thought that might be a flip down cover.
I think the black heels just flip out of the foot cavity. They're prolly required to balance him since the hollow feet don't have the weight to support the rest of him in poses.

 

Not a fan of all the corners cut for that smokescreen. Hopefully the finished product will be better.

 

Hope that smokescreen is better once we get him, he needs more paint for starters.

Can’t wait to get this Smokescreen, I won’t be selling siege Smokey either because I actually like having an earth and cybertronian form of the character.

I'm a Marvel original comics fan so I would prefer a just triplechanger Sky Lynx but this one looks reaaaaalllly good and the extra base mode is an smart and most welcome addition.

 

I love everything about SkyLynx except his bird feet have no spread.  I know they had to tuck away, but they look too small to support him.

 

The black peg is the 5mm port for the modulator/weaponizer armor. They just forgot to flip it down for the product shots.

If you look at the rear pictures of the figure you can see it's supposed to fold downward and form a heel spur.

 

TR Optimus Prime/Octone & Megatron/Blitzwing for a couple of examples.

 

Not too worried about Smokescreen looking rough in car mode - Reprolabels almost certainly will deliver. The hubcap/wheel covers they worked out for the CW Devastator set would ameliorate Smokescreen's big peg-on wheels nicely, most likely.

 

Why do I feel very strongly that we'll get a Jazz figure out of this Smokescreen somewhere down the line?

 

Smokey's feet are a hollow mess but I'm still glad I never bought the SIEGE version.

Now if they make Jazz out of this ER mold that might be a problem for me since he's actually one of my favorite Autobots who I feel deserves better quality if I'm ever going to replace the RTS version.

 

i think jazz deserves his own mould myself.

 

There's no such thing these days. Unless they're one of the bigger figures or have some major unique design element..everything gets reused.
