The idea of Batman rolling coal is kinda funny if a bit impractical though

The cowl is so awful.. it looks like a low budget tv show version of Batman. It doesn’t look menacing and badass.. it looks ill-fitting and silly.

That's just the stunt helmet because he's riding a motorcycle. The same reason there's no practical cape. I promise you the actual costume doesn't have protective shades and a cushioning bubble

It's a gorgeous car, '60s muscle cars are probably my all-time favorite cars (at least in-terms of design, I've never driven one). I'm not quite sure how I feel about it as a Batmobile though. If I saw this driving down the road, I'm not sure I'd think "Batmobile". But I guess that could be a good thing, since he probably wouldn't want to call too much attention to himself. But at the same time, it probably should be identifiable as the Batmobile, from an out-of-universe perspective.

Batman is kind of a tricky subject matter. A man who dresses as a bat and has a bat-themed car is inherently silly and unrealistic (or at least has an aspect of silliness to it). But if they embrace the silliness too much, people will complain that it's too campy. Batman as a realistic/gritty/grounded character/story sounds good on paper, but it's tricky in execution. But after the Joel Schumacher movies, they're probably afraid to go near anything that could be seen as too silly.

I really, really dig the Batmobile. As a fan of classic muscle cars and a gearhead in general, I love the aggressiveness of it and how to me, it screams performance and speed. Plus, isn't Batman still supposed to be kind of figuring things out in a sense in this film? With how stitched together his suit seems to be, it'd make sense that his car would be the same way for now until he really gets into the groove and masters his craft.

I don't expect this Batmobile to be ramming into many cars or things without falter, nor have a ton of trick gadgets. But, I do imagine it getting Batman wherever he needs to go very bloody quickly, while sounding badass with that beefy looking powerplant in the back.

I'm not a muscle car fan, but that rear engine bay sure packs style.

Googled him and it's definitely his 1970s Batmobile.

I thought Francavilla's 1930s Batmobile was beautiful though.

To be fair... it’s not the first Batman muscle car BUT that design is way too influenced by his designs to not throw some credit his way.

I had no interest in this movie because I don’t think there is much left to say about Batman that hasn’t been said already and I dislike Pattinson but the car and costume have my attention now. This looks interesting.

Sorry, I'm sure this will inevitably bother someone, but I was on hold with my insurance company for a while and thought I'd be 'productive' whilst waiting. ;)

Eh, given this idiot's now endless track record, if Batman used a skateboard or child's tricycle in this, Smith would find a way to praise it for its wild ingenuity, brilliant forward thinking, subversion of expectations, blah blah blah.

People should stop asking that fool questions about movies so he can get back to bagging groceries like a good little has-been.

Unfortunately, Smith has a lot of followers that lick his boots and think he's one of the greatest writers ever. I mean, I remember when I finally got around to watching Clerks a few years ago (because everyone was telling me how great it was and that I should watch it) and I thought it was the most basic garbage I'd ever actually seen. There was stuff trying to masquerade as being deep but that was about it. Can't say I've ever personally been impressed by him... but don't utter that outloud.

...wait, wasn't Smith the one who thought it'd be a good idea to retcon in Batman p/$$/ng himself back when he spooked that dinner party in "Year One"?

I wouldn't trust this man's opinion on ANYTHING related to Batman. Let alone related to anything else.

I agree with the fact of asking Kevin Smith anything, totally comes off as a shill that hopes he may make a cameo. He is the same guy that said The Last Jedi was going to be as good as Empire. Don’t trust him. If you want to trust someone's Batman opinion ask Matt Wagner, Graham Nolan, Chuck Dixon, or Doug Moench. Those are names I would trust talking about Batman.

Of course he likes it. He liked everything. I'm sure he even started crying when he saw the design.
