They denied it? Do you explain that the figure is made of poor materials, and many, many, customers have experienced widespread issues with the figure falling apart? You should try again and put up a little fight(that’s what I did), don’t get stuck with this POS! You will only become increasingly unhappy with it over time.

 

To play devils advocate, retailers charge Hasbro back for defects/returns, so those retailers aren’t harmed one bit. I assure you, Amazon isn’t losing one penny for all of these returns.

 

I'd keep after them, and tell them what JSix mentioned. I returned my second copy, which at the time was unbroken, and tried to explain what was going on with multiple reports of breaking/poor materials used. They reluctantly gave me my money back, with the caveat that it was one-time only, because I had "returned it and had not selected the proper reason for return". It's a BS excuse for covering their ass but I did get my money back. If you need to, provide links to people reporting the issue so they can take a look themselves.

 

It will never happen. People really should be boycotting TT for their atrocious behavior, but some will always excuse TT’s poor performance and cold shoulder on some irrational grounds.

 

Just checked my Hound and glad to report he's still in the same condition as before. Just the crack (which I fixed) behind the front bumper. All the other high risk spots are A-OK.

 

I did as well. No cracks yet.

 

If you paid by credit card, check your purchase protection. Most cards provide up to 6 month warranty on standard purchases. They may ask you to send the figure to them on condition of the reimbursement.

 

So, I got my hound. He's all right, but the gun cabin is mis-assembled. Anyone know if hastak will replace it? Or anyone here replacing their broken hound willing to part with it?

I'd recommend trying to return the whole thing. Something is almost guaranteed to break later. Wait for reissue.

 

Well that didnt take too long. Left him alone a few days just standing on a shelf and now have a crack on the left leg flap hinge and one just starting to grow on the head armature hinge even though first thing I did was to loosen that screw. Sigh.

What's the prevailing wisdom on the cracks - fill with super glue to keep at bay?

 

more will come....with time and a lack of handling. I did the glue thing, but more cracks popped up around the same hinge...so I gave up and returned him.

 

I can't believe this thing is still on sale. They should have recalled all copies about a month ago. POs for arcee go up soon, and in the absence of any comment or action from Takara it's currently a no for me.

 

It’s like Hydra, glue one crack and two more will take its place. Sadly, the best course of action is to return Hound.  

 

It’s not Hasbro’s mess, it’s TakaraTomy’s. Hasbro has nothing to do with development of the MP line.

Though I do agree that photos of broken Hounds should be sent/posted to TakaraTomy.

 

While I don't in any way think the situation with Hound is "acceptable" and my personal aesthetic preferences are certainly at play, I'm still having more fun with a cracked-up Hound than many of my older MPs! It is possible!

Hasbro ain't gonna do anything and rightfully so, since they ain't distributing MP-47.

Most here bought MP-47 as either a direct import from Japan or from shops that imports from Japan.
