Yeah. Held it like that and the ratchet would not turn. The whole port eventually moved outward but the ratchet is not actually turning. And so its simply just tension and the arm port could not hold any lateral poses without falling down to the side. Its only capable of the pose it is currently at which is to the side of the body. The housing around it is fucked and slightly warped as seen in the picture.
I Already contacted tfs-express and let them know but realize they might not do shit or if they do it could be a huge wait....

The other arms ratchets was perfectly operable and works fine. Unearths one is a failure and I either have to take it apart and try to loosen the springs and lube the teeth and not break it, or pray they will send me new pieces...

Started pulling it apart. God I hope I dont regret this! the spring is so tight the ratchet wont move. You can see where the plastic has broke or chipped because it cant turn the ratchet. Any advice. Cut the spring down or grease it?

 

My X version is out for delivery! Looking forward to him arriving. Less so the mods that might be needed...

 

I knew I should've stayed out of this thread!  . ETA is Q4 so still long ways to go.....but damn, $700? Did the yellow weathered version go for that much? That price along has me backing away.

 

Yellow was a lot less. This is probably their holy grail so to speak. Q4?? Are you sure? TFs express says this month or soon he will ship. Who said Q4?

You can totally tell it is a yellow version painted with green splotches or patches. They turned the purple all over into cotton candy. What happened to the first color shot we saw where the green was uniform and the purple was dark and muted. It looked so bad ass. And Dirty yellow was nearly half that cost. I wanna say $450 is what I paid. I think he was cheaper at release.

 

Looks like the fluorescent green base. And then the weathering is applied. I believe they abandoned the darker version. Must have been a test shot. My guess.

 

I put ALL 8 of my Toyworld Constructor sets in COMBINE mode.

Show Z just updated their website and in Facebook about 3 hours ago with this guy Toyworld Constructor TW-C07E (Orange Devastator). Seems like this guy is finally coming through 100% with this color. I REALLY HOPE they bring back the TRANSLUCENT CLEAR ORANGE too.

I am still wondering why ToyWorld won’t sell/ship the green thigh pieces, and other such stuff out to retailers and/or sell the pieces on their website(s)?

I have the very first original green set. I have the silver thigh pieces, and the dumb ass studio OX head. I also have the original green barrel.

I was lucky enough back then to secure the ankle bits for Long Haul and the lat fillers — no purple barrel, green thigh pieces or G1 head(s) though : (

Sorry I don't have any spare parts as I know the parts are pretty much hard to find if not then nonexistent to get from Toyworld. Your best bet is to just buy the G2 yellow thighs and G2 Concrete and then paint it. Paint the thighs to green and the barrel to purple. That is a way much easier approach, as that is what I would do.

 

Won't you be able to strip the thighs like you can with the X version? I'd assume they are moulded in green plastic too

 

I would really rather not spend $400.00 just for a barrel and thigh pieces though.

I have heard from others here that the silver is just paint though? (Is this true for the first release?) — I could just remove the paint on those — and if I really get desperado, I could paint the barrel purple.

That just leaves me with the terrible studio ox head though : (

 

Yes for the X version you could strip it and that was what I did for my X version to make it green thighs. But for those that had the original G1 version with individual box figures it only came with silver thighs and I don't know if you were able to strip those. My G1 set is the G1 box set which had the green thighs included.
