Thanks, I'm going to try to resist doing the swap but knowing I have the option puts things to rest. I don't have to worry about messing up a copy with my "paint skills".

Anybody know a way to remove
Glass panels in the chest without damaging the figure? There’s dirt or something stuck behind the right window that is really bugging me.

Love this figure. There are some parts that I think it does even better than any of the MP releases. The way a lot of the panels on the sides condense into a single block that perfectly fills the space inside the torso is an absolute joy. The tanks folding in to become part of the thighs is a “why didn’t they always do that?” moment, and overall it’s just fun to transform. And hey, for once you don’t need tweezers to take out his Matrix. Sure, there are minor negatives like sacrifices made to the color scheme and a somewhat flimsy feeling trailer, but considering how close to the MP versions it comes (and in some ways improves on it a bit) at a mainline price point, Earthrise is really shaping up to be my favorite line.

Yes, it just blew me away how compact that part of the cab was inside the torso. I love that this Prime ends up with no panels hanging off his arms or back, unlike the Siege Prime (which don't get me wrong, I also loved).

I've just gone ahead and given ER Prime all my old Prime's weapsons, even Orion Pax's.

I just did this last night, with no issues. I’ve taken apart many glued heads so I can paint the eyes. It just takes some caution and finesse. If you can get a hold of a flat-head screwdriver for eyeglasses, it’ll be your best friend for this procedure. Just gently stick it in between the two halves in various spots and start carefully prying in all those places. Once it starts to separate, you’re golden and can usually just pull it apart without prying. I don’t even think this one was glued, but merely held together by pegs, channels and friction.

I got my Earthrise Leader Class Optimus Prime today, and boy was I disappointed.
The Leader size class is justified by the inclusion of a kawaii trailer, so small and cute it's only missing a Hello Kitty logo. Inside the trailer you can fit a deluxe, possibly, but not any deluxe.
The trailer is probably made with recycled plastic bags, as it's flimsy and probably fragile - SOON.

Ignoring the $30 trailer trash, we are left with a Voyager Class Optimus Prime. Paint, joints, plastic used are all good, this is a nice looking cab.
But it has many leftover parts from Siege Optimus Prime, which had no reason to stick around. Accessories are good - matrix and blaster do their job - and the transformation is fun and well designed.
However, in robot mode things fall apart a bit. Taking inspiration by Siege Megatron's squat torso, EOP has a kilometer-long legs for no good reason. This makes it difficult to truly appreciate the figure, as the length the trailer is missing all went to its legs.

Earthrise Optimus Prime is a mixed bag. No doubt many kids will be very happy to receive this as a gift, but for 50-60 bucks there are probably better designed transforming robots you can buy- especially when that crappy trailer is costing you a second Voyager figure. And Roller is no Grapple.

2 out of 5 for the effort, bonus point for the matrix

    The optimums is great.
The trailer is a storage bin for the rest of your WFC accessories.

I don’t have a pic, but the G3 trailer is huge. It’s way too big.

I think the trailer he comes with would be fine if was just a little longer. Otherwise, it’s an okay size. Not great, but not super awful.

After looking at a video review I'm at a loss as to why the cab has that silver line on it when they could have gone toon accurate all red as the silver pieces on his stomach fold out. Weird choice and always disliked the silver line on the sides of the truck when it was all red in the toon.

Personally I like the silver on the cab. It breaks it up a bit. Prime toys have always had the silver on the cab, except MP44 and to be honest, it's too much of a red block.

It's precisely why I love the alt mode of MP44, it's cartoon accurate and just looks much better imo. Would love an anime accurate cel shaded version of this figure.

because this figure already uses zero white paint.
It’s the same reason so many parts are just painted grey plastic on this guy.
    It’s $$$
