true, amazon did round up the cost of the two exclusive sets, and while the fan vote pack did have a $10 markup the rainmakers had a $10 decrease (the refraktor 3 pack also had a markup of $10) so the prices kind of balanced out if you were getting everything. and the idw impactor head was probably more of a draw than the power dasher for most people, at least those familiar with idw

I never saw them in stores, I preordered the whole wave from BBTS and that is how I got them. I've just started preordering everything these days as insurance. If I find what I'm looking for in-store, great I cancel my preorder and buy it there, if not BBTS is my back up plan.

 

Nope. Same for the Laserbeak/Ravage set. I had to get them through Amazon. They later showed up randomly at a Target months later, never saw them again.

 

At this stage, I'm anticipating a million of them to hit some obscure bargain retailer that isn't within three hours driving distance of me, with a steady stream of pictures on this site showing that they can be had for a couple dollars and come complete with bonuses like true love and personal contentment.

I just ordered them on Aliexpress. I'm a bit desperate for them. So fucking close to have all of the cartoon tape guys and I'm not missing this out. 22 bucks is a good price to pay for a "latecomer tax" and I would rather have it at any cost than miss out on it, what with "blue tape guy" coming out in Generations Selects.

I put in a preorder in early Dec at BBTS, and it's stayed in that state since, just pushing the expected month out automatically as they do. At this point I don't have much hope they will actually get them in.
