After seeing the SS figures in B&M on Friday I decided against getting them, especially as they had a “new line awaiting price” tag on the shelf.
After sleeping on it, I thought “why not get one, it’s only a tenner” only to find them all gone. Then I come on here to find all the reports of them not being that great, so that may be a bullet dodged :lol

Now to wait on MFT Kup, and Iron Trans Prowl...

I was completely joking, but that explains it quite a bit.

Hear, hear! T:30 was a lot of fun. I've loved the two focused trilogies that we've had/are getting, but I'd welcome a deeply eclectic hodge podge of a line.

I was just musing over in the ER Spec thread, that the Takara Armada Optimus prototype we saw that they "hadn't decided what to do with" may be more of a portent of the future than we may have imagined.

Word! Though how all the BW fans that have been ragging on him will see him off remains to be seen.

Who knows? I'm all for exploring all the possibilities, but at this stage I'm reluctant to collapse it down into what'd be most likely. I honestly think that making sense of all the conflicting voices, crying out for their niche to be filled, while trying to satisfy the investors board is a hell of a task.

So yeah, Studio Series 54 Megatron is pretty good too. Really like the jet mode. Shite weapon though.

I still think Hasbro tapped Takara on the shoulder with an "Ahem!" and then pointed at a calendar marked '2022', either the board or the corporation management have noticed that audience hits their 30's/Mid-30's Peak Nostalgia period has done rather well for them, and seem pretty fond of the decades-and-mid-decade Anniversaries. Beast Wars 25th next year, then Armada reaches early adulthood the following.
Oh, excuse me now I must...

So far reviews and first impressions on MP Lio Convoy are freaking terrific. I had no interest in him and am out of the MP line but gosh darn it's hard to resist getting it for the sheer WTF 90ies anime-ery of it. With a Beast Convoy on the side, obviously. After I sold my Primal last year. And all the rest of the BW MPs.

    Hmm.

So got my old MP Grimlock and honestly? Vulvun shows him up in every regard. Kinda also shows how ropey he is in a lot of ways, how everything's a little floppy, the chest doesn't really works and he'ss very creaky. I love the dino mode but even there Vulcun just kick's his arse. I've put Grimlock back in dino mode for display. But Vulcun? Oh God how can I choose. I think I'll be flopping back and forth on him for ages.

Vulcan is an amazing figure. My only niggles is a lack of gun (easily remedied) and bending those tail support struts past the thighs when transforming. That metallic one looks even more incredible than the standard.

Decided i will email kapow about the missing accessories. Maybe having them will make me like the figure a bit more. If not, i can either sell it on or paint it into cybertron mudflap. He'll work for the flat crane. May just see about getting a ko of the mp for inferno (and grapple?) On my classics shelf. They'd be a bit bigger than I'd like, but at least I'd get that alt mode the right shape for the nostalgia hit.

    Fantastic shot!

At the risk of derailing the thread, cat 1 is indeed very photogenic:

and she thinks you're not bad either

On the exercise front, I think it can be a 'hygene factor' - like, doing it might not make you 'happy'/solve a lot of problems, but it sits alongside eating and sleeping well in making other things easier? Dunno. I agree that it can feel like 'exercise = gyms'. I like the idea of something like Nerd Fitness: We help regular people lose weight and get stronger. ie starting with a group of people and bolting exercise on to that culture. Personally, dancing/classes really work for me. “We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once” an' all that. I do find the moments of joy from dancing really make my week.

I find this guy's book Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones really good for making 'activity' based changes (the language is very silicon valley/American self help though :/). I'm sure it wouldn't be for everyone though.

And now I'm hoping that Shatterbucks is an upcoming transformer name.

"Do you do sheds? We could do with a new shed."

    :D

Yeah, next line should just be doing the rebirth. Every figure, exactly as it appeared in the episodes, no deviation no exceptions. (ok, add in Rodimus Prime)
    (Am only slightly joking).

What a smoothie! And thank you.

I'm resisting the urge to post a load of pictures of my little three legged, furry, little hooligan.

    So, here's more Grapple instead.
