I’m glad to see that sunstreaker has real vehicle mode parts on his robot mode. His chest being too big does look a bit off, but it’s easily a small price to pay for having a figure that doesn’t cheat with fake kibble.

 

Could definitely be worse. Half of his vehicle mode could come off and be some kind of half-ass "hoverboard" accessory or something.

 

That is actually a very clever transformation on Sunstreaker! His hood/feet pieces are "upside down" in bot mode (the underside of the hood is the top side of his feet).

I also like the way they "cut out" a section of the real windshield to make his chest canopy the right shape, instead of using fake parts. More transformation designs like this please, Hasbro!

 

I think they look pretty good.

Earthrise Sunstreaker isn't really my favorite (at least based on the renders - the real thing very well may look better), but man oh man did the Classics mold not age well.

 

Yet previous incarnations of Sunstreaker figures (not including Masterpiece or any other officially licensed Lamborghini Sunstreaker figures) included the spoiler in vehicle mode.

Also, I am very much aware this is not the masterpiece line. I never claimed it to be nor implied that it is such a thing.

 

I don't know what the hell some people are typing about... Streaker's Bot mode to me is BADASS!

It's a combination of WJ plus a touch of Runamuck and equals EXCELLENT!

Sorry, I could of swore I put deluxe in front of the word cars. I was meaning the 84//85 deluxe cars. As for the mini cars, I think we need most of those guys redone to “scale” with WFC. Gears and Huffer are badly needed.

 

Really cool how Sunstreaker's transformation looks to be overall much the same as Wheeljack's, yet many individual parts are kind of the reverse of Wheeljack.

• The legs fold up in a similar way, but are backwards.
• The leading edge of the windshield is separate bits attached to the legs, but attached to the lower leg instead of the upper leg.
• The arms fold up to become the rear of the car, but instead of the shoulders/upper arms being the back of the car, it's the forearms.

It looks like the chest works the same way where it's on a double-hinged arm and moves down to join up with the legs for car mode.

The top-back of the car will become the bot mode back, so it should end up with the port for the engine parts being in a good place to mount them there for bot mode too.

 

Yeah, I'm definitely getting these. I currently have the T30 Trailcutter and Universe Sunstreaker, and I definitely like those toys a lot, but honestly they are getting motherfucking replaced, lol. I even replaced T30 Springer with the Siege one, even though I think the T30 version still looks better. But I personally want my toys to look close to the original cartoon look of the characters as much as possible. I usually prefer the coloring to be toy-accurate, but the colors on the toys we got so far in the WFC trilogy are overall really nice, and IMO way better than the Prime Wars trilogy, which cut corners on a lot of figures.

Not that it's absolutely perfect, but I can't get enough of this toy line. It makes me wish even more that Takara would still make Legends/Unite Warrior versions of all the Hasbro releases. It gives me a reason to buy the same characters more than once, lol.

Also, I definitely hope we get a Selects Cordon too. I still want the Masterpiece figure as well, lol.

 

You say that until you look at Runamucks alt mode, notice how sideswipe and Sunstreaker match?

 

Various thoughts:

Sunstreaker shares Wheeljack's shoulder connectors and hip joints, but that's it as far as I can tell.

For those calling him a Countach - except for the front grill he looks more like a modern Lambo, or a mix of a couple modern ones to me. Especially with how curved the vents are, compared to the boxier ones on the Countach.

I have the Universe Sunstreaker. He's a good figure, but the ER one definitely looks better.

Stating that the chest is noticeably large on the figure is a fact. Stating it makes the figure look terrible like you did is an opinion, not a fact.
