    Heya folks!

I've been away for a *very* long time, but I'm still alive and doing a little bit of collecting (and clearing some stuff out real soon)
Having been disconnected from 'the scene' for so long, I've lost track of release schedules and all that jazz. So I've got a couple of questions for you lovely folks:

-Any ideas where I can get the new 'Sixgun' figure for a decent price? I want him to augment the new Ironhide (finally one worthy of going on the CHUG shelf!)
(Please note, I have no access to bricks-n-mortar shops aside from Argos :(  )

-Does anyone possess the Matrix Workshop upgrades for both Ironhide and Springer? Again, I'm looking to pimp out Ironhide but I feel like the Springer kit would look cooler on him. I'm just concerned about the fit, I'd like to see how the Springer parts fit on Ironhide before dropping my cash. Would love to see pics if anyone has the bits!

-I've seen Emgo using a little 'blast/pew pew muzzle flash' accessory in a number of his videos. No doubt it comes from one of the smaller toys but I have no idea which one - would really like to acquire one.

Thanks folks - hope everyone here is well and still enjoying their plastic crack :D

Cards and games have sixgun for £16 (+delivery on top).
TRANSFORMERS WAR FOR CYBERTRON - SIEGE: DELUXE CLASS SIXGUN FIGURE

The smaller blast effects come with what are called 'Battlemasters' (basically modern targetmasters). Different effect styles come with different figures. The big ones that he likes on everything for the big BLOOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHH gag he does come as a pair with the commander class Jetfire figure.

Bovril!!!! Welcome back old chum! I hope you're well!

Yeah, the battlemasters have been turning up in B&M for £3. If you can't get to a B&M, they are of course now turning up on ebay en-masse for RRP around £8 or £9 each. They're neat enough, but that's pricey for what you get if you ask me.

Sweet Prime, there's rumours Henry Cavill is going to be Wolverine. The dude can't act for toffee!

I thought the crappy Snyder films were holding him back. Nope, he's just that dull.

The suggestion is he'll appear in Captain Marvel 2, which would make sense considering they seemingly haven't a clue what they're doing with her character and she'll need the help.

Thanks for the link man, I would never have found that! A good fiver cheaper than anywhere I'd found :)

In the words of Terry Pratchett, "I aten't dead" haha!

Nice to see some old faces are still here :)  Thanks for the warm welcome!

Looks like the 'pew' effect in blowpipe (snigger) is the one I'd had my eye on. Certainly not worth £8/9 though, especially as I have no interest in the figure itself. Still, I've scored a Sixgun today so that should keep the plastic crack withdrawls in check for a few days

I submit the Ritchie 'Man From U.N.C.L.E.' as a rebuttal that Cavill can indeed act and be as charming as F*** a screen presence about it when given the right material and direction. Though he does seem to get that unfortunate reaction that some people have to some actors, particularly blokes, to not see past his pretty boy looks to appreciate the work going on. Not saying he's the next Alec Guinness but he's got the Cary Grant/Michael Caine can play the role as himself playing the role about him. Plus the man cocks his arms before punching.

Shame we'll likely never see his take on a Reeves'-style gawky slapstick Clark Kent (I think Cavill would love the physical challenge of a Kent-based Jackie Chan-style slapstick inaction Action sequence).
I'll give his Wolvie a chance if so but I really was hoping they'd get some sawed-off, "ugly handsome", punk looking bugger to play the ol' Canuck.
Check out your local B&M's in case you can snag a £3 one!

Cavill is great as Geralt in The Witcher series. He was miscast as Superman, though. Man of Steel had promise, but they never followed through with it, in my opinion at least.

Got splashed by a bus earlier (thanks for that Stagecoach, I was about 5 ft away from the road too!) so wanted to cheer myself up, one trip to Smyths later and I splurged on Omega

You all already know he’s a big boy but he’s heftier than I expected, the joints on Max and Metroplex are crap by comparison

that face is going to get painted, no two ways about it

I don’t think this battle is going to go the way the cons hope it will

Discovery, Flak’s peg is in such a position he can mount a weapon mode micromaster over top of him!

I'd love to, but I've never even _seen_ a B&M store, I don't think they exist out here on the Welsh border! Plus I'm... physically limited. If I can't get there in the car inside half an hour, I can't get there at all.

Thus I'm pretty much limited to internet stores & private online trades. Not complaining though, didn't even think I'd be able to get Sixgun until Insurgent kindly found me a retailer :)

Again, I must disagree, the man's hair even does a Superman 'S' curl naturally! The fact that Snyder's creative decision was to style and shape that out of Supes' hairstyle is a massive visual clue to how the character of Kal-El was totally ill-conceived and poorly written overall in MoS.
A Supes with the swagger of Cavill's Napoleon Solo would have been a beautiful torch pick up to the OG Reeves films, sadly the whole film was "Bad Vibrations".

As far a cloth/robed figures go it's not bad - certainly the best of the Mezcos I own - and it's about 90% of a regular legend. But as to the long term durability of the costume over time? No idea. Only my Cavill (it's that bloke above) Superman has been on display holding a fairly vanilla flight-pose for any length of time and that's not too hard on the material so that's anyone's guess. I got this one because I'm partial to the Character and this one is exceptionally well realised so worth the price to me, but it's certainly not a figure that's going to get heavy-play.

I suspect you're getting your set more for the Big Bow-wow so as long as BB isn't any extreme splits poses that strain the stitching you'll be fine with him standing holding the collar. IMG_20200228_104905.jpg

It's almost March and Grapple needs his partner-in-construction/cuddle-buddy. Let's hope it's next week.

No sign of battlemasters or Studio Series in B&M in Norn’ Ireland. Brexit truly means Brexit

You know what? I actually agree. I misspoke earlier about him being miscast, it's just the awful material he was given to work with that was a detriment to his portrayal of Clark/Kal/Supes. MoS was okay in setting up the character (barring the stupendously bad advice Jonathan Kent gave young Clark), but BvS didn't really do anything new with him, and by the time he appeared In Justice League it was just kinda... meh. Cavill definitely had it in him to be a great Superman, but trying to make A LITERAL BEACON OF HOPE IN THE DC UNIVERSE dark and angsty was a completely idiotic thing to do. Snyder was such a wrong choice for that.
