    Yeah, I think this is a similar case with the recent Leader class size discussion. I don't want to pass definitive judgement or say it's 100% justified but I can kinda understand what they were going for. Take Astrotrain, Cliffjumper or, say, (Studio Series) Shockwave and they have a level of complexity (and quite a bit of extra paint too) where they probably felt they exceeded their perceived size class (or they would have had to cut out a lot of stuff to sell them as voyagers) but also weren't quite there at the next biggest size class, which explains the extra accessories to sweeten the deal. Again I am NOT justifying it but I do think the base figures wouldn't be as nice if they were designed as standalone voyagers (or scout/legends in CJ's case). I feel those comparison shots between CJ and TR bumblebee speak for themselves.

    Ultra Magnus is different because in his case I feel it's 100% justified, plus he does weigh the same as earlier Leaders. Siege Shockwave is a bit on his own because his base figure isn't all that complex and probably could have been sold as a voyager. I do like his buffed up battleship mode a lot however, so it never bothered me.

    My best speculation is that he’s planned to be retooled as an Omnibot. Remember those had third sci-fi vehicle modes.

    Can the existing Autobot sign be cleaned off without ruining the red paint?

    Really like his paint!

    ...and no one would buy them and force Hasbro to reverse their sizes to get stuff to sell.

    Remember the oversized Legends Deluxes of Prime? Those were shit, but why don't Hasbro make them anymore? Because we didn't buy them.

    Same case now. If you don't want Hasbro making Deluxes as small as Cliffjumper, don't buy him. Show them that he is not what you as their customer want.

    This is a normal-sized Deluxe:

    Got this figure earlier in the week. There's no getting around the small size, I think most will probably be disappointed since it's priced as a deluxe. On 1 hand, it's definitely got substantially more going for it than the TR/POTP Legends. This one seems like it has more parts, a lot more paint and a more involved transformation. It reminds me a lot in-hand as MP-21 Bumblebee. It's got a pleasantly intuitive transformation that's well ahead of prior Legends figures.

    This Cliffjumper certainly blows away the old T30 Legends Cliffjumper. It's great to see Cliffjumper finally get more unique tooling.

    As is, I like it a lot, but $15 would've been the sweet spot for me. The removable car windshield doesn't bother me as much. I use it as a shield with part of the rocket launcher as a baton or club. The skids could stay on better.

    If you've been waiting for a CHUG Cliffjumper, this is the best to me. Nonetheless, I still understand why the price may be hard to stomach due to the overall size. If you can get it on sale sometime for $10-15, I think you'd be happy with it.

    I love this little guy. He reminds me a lot of MP21, which is one of my favorite toys. It's nice to finally see a unique CJ figure.

    Pros:
    * Car mode looks good
    * Robot mode looks good, though I personally get more of a "Red Bumblebee" vibe out of it
    * Articulation is pretty good, with the transformation joints offering up a couple more posing possibilities.
    * Weapon/accessories are pretty neat.

    Cons:
    * Small, though I understand why.
    * I'd be happier with the big feet if the ankles had fore/aft movement.
    * Transformation annoys me. Too much wrestling parts and tabs that are a bit too large into place.
    * That trunk piece.

    Overall: I don't much like it. A nice-looking but otherwise blech toy.

    Anyone have a photo of Cliffjumper here with all the previous minibots? Beachcomber, Brawn, Windcharger, etc...

    Just got this guy. He looks good in bot mode, has good articulation, and looks pretty good in car mode. Not loving his transformation very much as I find it to be not very fun and somewhat annoying (I agree with the post 2 above on that) plus the whole rear hatch/bumper is a separate removable piece which seems lazy engineering wise. Not going to go into his size as that horse was beaten to death all thread so far. All in all if you like/want the character he is worth it IMO but he is not perfect

    Was basically forced to buy him to finally stop using the video game version, which is still a cool toy.

    On one hand, he puts alot of the other minibots to shame, but on the other, he's got some bigass feet haha. They get in the way and make crouching bazooka firing look dumb.
    A week from now the $20 spent on this little duck footed dwarf wont sting as bad. Makes me want the movie version even more.

    Will prob be digging him out someday to use his cannon for a tiny deluxe Megatron.

    Forced? :D
    First world problems!
    Agreed on the WFC version being a cool toy...and your other comments are right on but I'm loving this Cliffjumper. It blew my mind when I realized that even as a $20 Deluxe, he was basically the exact same size as Rattrap...

    Nevertheless, I haven't felt slighted nor ripped off for one second with this guy. It's a gem of a figure, IMO.

    Forced, as in there was no way I could pass this guy up. Am such a sucker for the G1 stuff. Completing those minibots has been a journey.
    Atleast he wont be falling over during any earthquakes.

    Edit: The extra black piece feels like its made to tow a trailer.
