I only got my first 3rd party figure this summer, and now I only really visit the 3rd party forum.

There’s so much good stuff, there’s 3 or 4 companies all competing to create the same combiner right now so you have crazy options. There’s like 5 choices out there for Springer and Trailbreaker. It’s great to have options!

 

Got this guy today from Baba, not sure what version it is looking at it thought I was buying the ver2. His knees are a bit loose but apart from that seems solid enough

 

You got the what is official the v2 (but technically v3). This is the most recent version.

When did you place your order? Was it baba's Ebay store or their non-Ebay store?

 

He’s still a good little figure.

When FT’s comes out next year, or 2022; I will consider replacing.

This just made me realize - Toyhax (or anyone else) never made a label for G1 Beachcomber's chest sticker to slap on this guy or the G2 version, huh? There's the Autobot chest logo and that's it.

Sometimes I think of buying an extra Arkose for a toy version, since he comes with the extra head, but that little detail not being present to help further differentiate him fro the 'toon version will bug me.

 

Got it from his eBay store as it was cheaper because I had no coupons on the web store, ordered on the 18 of January arrived today

 

KFC and Ocular Maxs tend to make G1 toy influenced figures. I personally recomend you to look at the KFC Horrorcons and OM Assaultus team.

 

Unless some company improves on the alt mode greatly I will not replace my G2 version of this figure. It's beautiful!

 

now how can you say that, you know the FT one is going to be the greatest thing ever, even if all we have seen is a render.

 

I have the v2 from 4 years ago and v2(or really v3 depending on how you look at it) reissue from last year (new artwork on the box). However there's no way I'm missing out on the FansToys version.
The Fanstoys version has:
-cleaner back in robot mode
-clear plastic headlights
-rubber tires!! (something XTB refuses to include on their minibots)

No way am I missing out on it.

 

I got Arkose recently too - Not tried to transform him yet though - he's "alright" not the best value for money compared to the Stunticons though.
but he does the job he's supposed to do.

 

I didn't like the alt mode on the fanstoys and found the bot mode(while indeed less kibbly) too plain looking, plus I don't want to end up with just a fanstoys collection I'll go bankrupt haha

 

the FT example is just to plain to me, yep, it's "toon aesthetic" alright, blah panels and horrible alt modes. at least XTB's offering looks like something closer to real life.

 

I hope these cartoon characters look realistic, because realism makes things better, it doesn't matter if it isn't the better figure.

 

That's cool. That just means more FT copies for the rest of us.  

 

I have had this chap boxed forever, don't even know if it's v1 or v1.5, anyway, it didn't explode. The motor and cage part of the transformation is annoying but the rest is quite straight forward, and it looks great in both modes, so no need for the FT one, and I think I prefer these colours over the v2.

 

I got v2 and the v3/2019 reissue. Already got FT preorder locked.

I've been going back and forth on this guy (along with XTB's Trailbreaker) but I finally decided to just go for it. I placed my order for him & Trailbreaker this morning from Terry. Hopefully I'll have him in a couple weeks.

P.s. I also have both Fans Toys versions pre-ordered.  

 

The Fanstoys one piece hip skirt kills any want for me. Shame as it looks really good otherwise.
