    Hi All,

This is my first time putting pictures of a figure I've painted out there. I'm interested in what everyone thinks about the direction I'm going here. I started custom painting Titans only, probably should've went smaller first, and I've completed Metro, Fort Max, Predating, and Omega Supreme. I probably will revise the first 2 because I've gained some understanding of what I like and don't like (and some painting techniques). I tend to like figures with a darker base and then move out with colors from there.

I'm showing Omega off first and then Preds later. If anyone has a suggestion on what I should use as a topcoat, I would appreciate your input. I tend to like gloss finishes but with this guy I was maybe considering a matte/flat finish. I'm not sure if I can spray over his plastic visor or if I should tape that off before spraying a top coat so any advise there would be awesome.

He is detailed for both modes but I don't want to handle him so much because he is still curing. Hopefully the pictures will come through nice enough, I only have an iPhone to take pics with.

    Thanks

You really need our opinion on where you're going? I'd say it's pretty clear your paint skills are awesome. Great work there. Can't wait to see more from you.

I haven’t seen that one yet. That’s really cool. I haven’t touched tryps yet because I’m torn which way to go....Black like in the video game or more like my other ones. Thanks.

Hey thanks a lot for your kind words. I’ve been watching a lot of how to videos and been practicing. I really find this enjoyable. I’ll have to start working with an air brush next. Looks like you can do some really cool stuff with one of those!

Looks beautiful! What kind of paint did you use for the silver?

Everything is tamiya and for the silver I used their chrome silver. The base of the figure is gun metal. Chrome yellow and metallic orange are some of the other main colors.

Right now they are in storage. I’m waiting on some ModUCase displays I’ve ordered to display them so they don’t get all dusty. In a month or two I’ll bust them out and take pics. Thanks.

Edit: I used Mica Silver for the leg and arm bits.

His Tryp has given me inspiration to take one and give it a black gold and red color scheme. Kind of like the one you'd see on Black Zark, but my skills need to improve before I try that.
I also want to give it some extras like the glowing lines you see on characters in the WoC and FoC games.

Watching some D&D channels like Midwinter Mini's has given me an idea how to get those glow effect.

Oh for sure. Everything was done. The rocket has a great deal of detail to it. I have to take it apart one more time to top coat it and then I'llm take some pics of the rocket and base mode. So much is hidden in bot mode. I'm just waiting on the top coat to arrive.
