Good day Radicons, i present to you my first OC Dinobot, Sloop.

Sloop transforms into a Hesperornis. He acts as an amphibious scout, spy, and with a background in geology, is able to scout the best territory for amphibious assaults. While small, which does not please Grimlock, his maneuverability makes him a hard target to hit, but only if discovered. He may not contribute much in battle, but the intelligence he gathers places the odds heavily in favor of Grimlocks assault forces.

True, but the whole custom was inspired by my broken G1 swoop head fitting over Slashes dino head. May make an Ichthyosaur with a sword beak.

The hesperornis was a 6-7 foot long toothed bird that swam the Cretaceous oceans, much like a modern Loon or Grebe. The wings were ridiculously reduced, I assume for streamlining. Look him up, there's a great fossil of a xiphactinus choking on one.

I was wondering why he (she?) didn't have front appendages and then did an image search for hesperornis, wow just tiny wing fins.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the name. I imagine it as the sound he makes diving into the water, but it is also a fast navel vessel from the days of sailing. And the head is from my broken G1 Swoop

‘Tis an excellent custom, but Sloop? An interesting name indeed.

 

It's a solid name for an aquatic bot and, despite the definition, it's goofy enough to fit in with the rest of the Dinos.

Hey, dude, nice custom! If it is okay, can I use this design? I love the idea of another Dinobot swimming in the endless oceans, and I currently have the idea of the Dinobots going against the Insecticons. I have a few of my own OCs filling up slots and a few IDW characters doing so too, but I love this idea that I wanted to use it, hence why I am asking. If not, understandable as it is your design and your character. Apologies for the necrothread and have a good day!
