future finish is an easy solution for floppy ... pretty much most stuff on my tfs. Like viagra for your toys. Her backpack is pretty light so should work fine, no issues on mine though.

a little "mistransformation" in the backpack also makes it way more solid, and makes the transformation a bit easier.

Fourteen year olds aren’t really 'children' in the sense of the original post, are they? They're teenagers and are more than capable of recognising the value of things and taking appropriate care in ways that say, my five year old, is not. Masterpiece and 3P equivalents are not children's toys.

Which you're posting to a forum that's all about adults complaining about children's toys.

Plus most Third Party figures are not children's toys lmao. Jobby may go overboard sometimes or be a bit nitpicky, but his complaints are usually very valid.

Eh I guess, but adults can be very critical over aspects of a toy homaging a character of their childhood. I'm just saying that it's surreal to see at times on this forum.

I see where you're coming from but from the whiney adult perspective :)  we've been waiting for around twice your entire lifetime for this. To get finally so close to perfect is frustrating.
This isn't a criticism of your age, of course, just to try to get it in perspective that anything you have waited your entire life for, we have waited twice that length of time for this.

Born to shit, forced to wait. I waited 3 years for TR1 Hova to come out, and somehow I had patience when it came to the flimsy shoulders of Hova. It's interesting to note that most of the members on this board have seen such progression of how toys are designed, and the amount of engineering has increased for these toys. I'm not sure if we're living in a golden era of adult collectibles or if it's already passed, but at least I've found a community that shares my interests in these weird robots.

And you're a welcome member of the community!

I think we're still in the golden age, I love that the new stuff has the nostalgia kick for us old farts but with the articulation and accessories to make things interesting for those just joining us. I think everyone can enjoy a big hulking Scorpion that Transforms into a giant robot!

When I was a kid the most my parents would give me to indulge my expensive toy desires was a clip 'round the earhole.

Now look at the mess in my room. I SURE SHOWED THEM!

She certainly does, but honestly for all the criticisms she gets (a) she's basically doing the impossible and (b) she's still probably the best Arcee we've ever gotten (and may ever get).

Some characters were designed for the screen never intending to make a remotely accurate toy for them, and require insanity like this to pull off in a real toy. She's certainly not perfect and some parts of that transformation scare the bejeesus out of me, but for my money she's still the one to beat.

I really wish more people seen this how you see it.

You really said what a lot of us always wanted to put into words. There isn’t a alt mode out there that beats Rougue and has such a striking bot mode to boot.

Rouge basically transforms from very accurate to very accurate.

To be fair, I think it’s okay. It’s absolutely toon accurate with the grey doors and grey painted “head lights” — however it is much more squat, and to me personally, seems very lazy (being a turtle shell basically).

I’m sure FT could have had a more squat/smaller alt mode had Rouge been car bot height (I absolutely love her height though). I also think FT’s is much sleeker/“sexier” than MP-51’s.

Pretty sure Honesty's called out MP-51's alt-mode for not being as flat as it appears in the movie, though. But it really varies from scene-to-scene, and in the series proper.

Rouge's alt-mode takes a hit from me due to the really wonky looking wheel placement, when viewed from the side. Plus some aesthetic blemishes like the joint caps around the door area.

MP-51 is accurate in car mode for the same reason the Haslab Unicron is accurate in planet mode.

Didn't say that she was a good Transformer. Just that she has a more accurate alt mode.

Pretty much. Not quite, though: some of it hangs off his legs.
