    Megatron stole Overlords Lips!

Lol, anyway I think it looks good. Honestly the thing I'm most excited for is an actual Optimus x Elita relationship. Like when the fuck was the last time they ever got any focus? Animated by technicality? It's been decades at this point.

And if done well, I think there relationship could really add to this version of Optimus, lord knows how often people complain about his modern incarnations being to much wise leader not enough anything else. Having a fleshed out relationship that isnt just him being the wise commander to the Autobots could be great.

One of the many reasons I loved Transformers Prime was because of its grittiness. Seeing that same grittiness in the Siege Trailer has me excited for what this series could be.
So happy to see Swipe, Elita-One, Chromia, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus, Skyfire, Impactor, Hound, etc.

I don’t know. Brilliant as he is, we had around 15 years of Transformers without Peter Cullen. And although we don’t like to think about it, neither he nor Frank Welker will be around forever; sooner or later we’ll have to do without them altogether. Depending on when this series is set, they might be going for a younger Optimus who is more of an action hero than a wise old warrior. Same with Megatron; we can’t expect these characters to sound the same in every series, at every stage of their lives.

Having said that, I wasn’t too impressed with what I heard so far either. It felt far too much like someone doing a Peter Cullen impression - and if you’re going to do that you may as well get the real thing. It also commits the all too common crime of confusing a dark tone with turning the brightness down. We’re on Cybertron: I want to see it!

But we’ve heard, what, three lines from Optimus so far? And watched maybe a minute? Plenty of time for minds to change.

Well, it looks better than the Prime Wars Trilogy, but then that’s not really much of an achievement, is it?

Overall, I'm not particularly impressed. A little disappointed, even. I wouldn't have made the models look quite so close to the toys, but that said I do love the designs of most of the Siege toys so it's no biggie. The animation doesn't look good. Not sure if it's a stylistic choice, but if so it's definitely not to my tastes. What does interest me is the prospect of seeing more of the relationship between Optimus and Elita One.

Despite my misgivings though, there really isn't enough here for me to call it one way or another. So I'm going to reserve judgement on the overall quality of the series for now.

Looks awesome can’t wait! Let’s see if it can dethrone Prime for most acclaimed Transformers cartoon. I am excited.

Could not agree more, I just need to see Ironhide and Prowl and I will be happy.

I make it a point to find the positive in life but the animation style and mention of the all spark really got under my skin.

Animation I can move past but the All Spark is just a hell no for me.

Man I was hoping this was going to be good. I don’t inherently have a problem with the cartoon looking like the toys, but then they should have given the toys more of their own identity. This looks only marginally better than the Prime Wars Trilogy, and that breaks my heart.

I see a lot of negativity here, which is decently justified depending on what you were hoping for. To me for now, the writing here looks good, the CGI looks neat, and I love the cast of characters. Primes voice sounds cool to me and so does Megatron's, and I saw on Twitter that Frank Todaro is returning to do Starscream, and his portrayal is one of my favs. So I'm very excited for this. I read somewhere it's only 6 episodes, which is the only negative I have so far lmao. Hopefully it gets a few seasons, would love a 78 episode series like those DreamWorks shows got on Netflix (Voltron and How to Train your Dragon).

I’d watch that show. Put him on an elaborate Decepticon-symbol-shaped throne and have him read stories to a different Decepticon sitting over his knee each week.

Megatron: “And that was how we razed Iacon to the ground and claimed it for the glory of the Decepticons!”

Starscream: “Oh, that was lovely. Tell us another story, Lord Megatron.”

Megatron: “I’m afraid our time is up for now, Starscream. Join us next week for the gladiator matches in Kalis! Until then...goodnight, children, everywhere!”

Bots with faceplates look okay, but something looks...Really off about those with regular faces. At least, Bee and Megatron look weird.
I'll give it a fair shot, though. At the very least, it looks better than the Prime Wars Trilogy (not a high bar to jump, but it's something).

AspiringCreatorFebruary 23rd 2020, 2:10 amThis just has me so excited in all the ways the Machinima series didn\'t. The animation actually looks like it has had effort put into it, its focus on the war for Cybertron is a nice change of pace from all the Transformers media that focuses on humans, the idea this will touch upon opinions on the war and provide a different perspective is nice and a good way to show how this is a Transformers series intended more for older audiences and as for the voice acting?Okay this is definitely going to be a point of contention at least for Optimus and Megatron and honestly, it\'s understandable. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker for years have been recognized as THE voices for those characters with the former especially reaching such a status that eventually the Machinima series just got him for Titans Return onward… but I think it\'s a little silly to start a riot whenever they don\'t get cast. Let\'s keep in mind, these guys have done a lot for the franchise and will continue to do so for as long as they can but in terms of Frank at least, he\'s still a working actor who gets cast in a ton of shows and movies and when it comes to acting, casting directors do have to work around schedules and sometimes what happens is that the plan is found to not really be workable and as for Peter Cullen? He really doesn\'t take that many roles anymore outside of Optimus Prime. Oh sure he\'s still working but from what I can tell it\'s nowhere near what he did back in the day and for the most part has been relegated to the movies and finally, these two are really, REALLY old. As in they\'re both in their 70s with Peter Cullen in particular being a mere 2 years away from entering his 80s, I think one series not casting them is nowhere near as big a deal as some people want to make it out to be, especially since in MANY early pieces of Transformers content that followed G1, there were many people who took up the mantle of these characters. Hell one of the biggest saving graces of the Prime Wars trilogy was Megatron who Jason Marnocha (Who is also playing Megatron here.) played so expertly. Look I get the attachment people have here, I mean it should be obvious even from my icon, I love Optimus Prime and like a lot of fans I adore and respect Cullen and Welker for their immense talent, dedication to the franchise and for being the OG voice actors and certainly it\'s understandable to have a little disappointment when you don\'t hear them but to have interest on the show hinge purely on that and to treat this as an \"insult\" I\'d say is overdoing it. Yes they\'re both passionate about the franchise and it\'s awesome but that doesn\'t mean they have to be cast in every series for the sake of it.

I\'m glad you are ok with the voice acting, but personally, I just can\'t get past the lack of Cullen. Unless he is ill or unable to record for some personal reason, there is absolutely no excuse for not casting him in what could be one of the best iterations of Transformers that we will ever get.  It\'s especially frustrating knowing that he did episodes of Rescue Bots and the god awful kiddie Transformers Prime.  And he was completely wasted in most of Bay\'s films. I want to see Cullen get to play this character in a quality show before he retires.  As you said, he and Welker are getting pretty old and this could be our last shot at a quality Transformers show featuring the one and only Prime. As a side note, I honestly don\'t miss Welker. His work as Megatron in the 86 movie was amazing, but he doesn\'t seem to be able to capture that same voice as he has aged.

Last time I saw a Transformers cartoon that actually 100% interested me was Prime.

And seeing this feels very refreshing. Looking forward to it, though I hope it lives up to the hype.
